Can black people become "white?"

I think your wording is confusing, and you never really make a point or an argument.

No, blacks will never be considered “white.” Black culture, as you did point out, has a very strong influence on sports, music, and other aspects of the entertainment world. The increasing acceptance and assimilation of black culture into mainstream America, in my opinion, peeked in the 90s, and then the lines sort of vanished a good bit, but the lines will always be there for those that want to see them.

Whiteness can be an insult in black culture, especially in urban settings, where blacks that become involved in what they view as white activities or interests, are called out on their interests and the insults are about “trying to be white” or their “blackness” is challenged. I have heard black people criticized by other blacks for excelling in academics in such manners. The flip side is white people interested in hip hop or Ebonics are trying to be black. An example, is a white kid we have been dealing with that has run afoul of the law, gets his ass beat for the way he talks, and it is pretty comical to try and talk to him. I had to remind him multiple times that i am in fact, not “his :eek::eek::eek::eek:” or the other officers, as in “that :eek::eek::eek::eek: over there told me .... but then that :eek::eek::eek::eek: said....”. So naturally, when interviewing the black male suspect, I did a fist bump and thanked him(not really).

While working out yesterday, iggy
azalea ‘s fancy came on, and I had to smirk at the inflection on that Australian girl’s voice, and I was trying to remember who got into a twitter battle with her, and how I felt about that(it was Nikki minaj). I also was reminded of the struggle that emenim went through in the beginning of his career, but he was lucky that vanilla ice layed the ground work in his civil rights struggle to gain acceptance being a white artist in traditionally black genre.

You could argue some blacks are already considered white. Also please go back and read over the first page and OP

When the Aliens and Reptilians make themselves known skin color will not matter

Can people of all colours unite to be one people, as opposed to many different groups who sling shit at each other?

Black culture and black influence is,heavily significant in america today. And guys like Obama or scientist NGT are staple representations of america while also being black.

Black influence on the younger white generations is phenomenal compared to every other ethnic group, so in a sense, arent black people becoming white in a sense?

Sounds more like white people will become black than the other way around.

And not just in America either. The whole world is going to be black

I'm aware of the history of Germans, Irish, and Pollacks facing some form of discrimination but I'm not sure that they weren't considered white at any point.

It's kind of obvious why Italians wouldn't be considered white since most immigrants from Italy are from Southern Italy where they look like North Africans but otherwise

Also- not sure why you didn't mention Jews.

1/2 a century ago it was common knowledge that Ashkenazi Jews are descendants of Middle Eastern migrants who settled in Europe and yet people accept their white identity as a given.
Dude the Irish were barely a step above black people. Watch blazing saddles and as hilarious as that movie is they really didn’t want the Irish.

No, because we are not "one", and never will be. When freedom reigns, diversity flourishes. It amazes me how many people claim to love and want diversity on one hand, and then bang on about how we're all the same. We're not. We're different. Embrace it.

Clearly both here are depicted as non white. Or at least not the same as the brit.

Just food for thought.

I'm not going to lie. The constant angry bullshit spewed all over the internet, plus my own experiences, has darkened my view on diversity somewhat.

Not that I look down on cultures and/or people, but is diversity worth a fractured society?

I agree. That message was to leftists who claim to love diversity but then whine whenever anyone points out how people are different/diverse.

The only diversity worth a damn is diversity of thought. Diversity of skin means nothing to me. For a nation to survive, assimilation is the key, not "diversity."

Posting this makes you racist now. Hope you know that. You can’t acknowledge that being white has changed over the years. I do wonder when being Irish specifically became white. We didn’t live through it so I wonder what the cutoff was

I don't think that skin colour alone is a problem at all, and I have met many people of all races, jerks and saints, even ones with ideologies that I do not agree with or approve of, have been for the most part, humble and kind.

What I do not like however is group politics and what seems to be voluntary segregation. I also don't like humans nature of grouping racially and culturally en masse.

It's an ugly, fractured society, deliberately manipulated to provoke tensions and turn people on each other, intentionally or not.

Probably when the baby making started.

I know the thread title is crazy.

But at times in the US, germans, italians, Irish, polish, etc.,werent always considered white by American standards, with italians even being subiect to jim crow laws.

So whiteness historically is a much more elastic concept than one may think.

Not sure I like this appropriation of my culture that you are suggesting.
