Can anyone help in regards to watching Fight Pass (Rod on chat is terrible) - UPDATE on relaunch

Do you have an Xbox or a smart tv? Maybe the answer is no because you’re using a fire stick. I recommend picking up a Chromecast.

Yeah, I use a Chromecast and can watch directly to any TV in my house with no issues.

I'm debating that, can you get an adaptor to connect to Ethernet?

If you can do that then it's awesome cause Wi-Fi can be shit at times where as wired is always solid.

This is what it looks like by the way after about 7 - 8 minutes, it's perfectly fine before that point but then you can guarantee it goes out if sync like this on every video.

I think probably the bitrate of the video is too high, so the video decoder on the firestick cant keep up. can you try to find a setting to lower the resolution and see if that keeps it in sync?

Good idea, I'll try that now from the actual Firestick settings (see what I mean about how people here are more helpful haha) so thank you man for the suggestion!! :)

I've lowered it in the actual Firestick settings now quite low and watching it as we speak so will see how it goes :)

There's no settings to change that on the actual app so I've had to do it in the Firestick settings, it has an auto setting where it adjusts to your internet speed as when you first play the video's they play in a lower quality for a few seconds while it buffers enough then they pick up and become really clear (like Youtube), the baffling thing is it works perfectly fine on PC on the same internet connection on a weaker Wi-Fi too and this connection you're watching now is wired lol

Also I can watch Netflix, Pluto, Youtube all on a higher bitrate and all those other apps are perfectly fine, it's just Fight Pass.

Apparently it's a known thing with the app though as when I spoke to the chat he told me we know it does that on that device and then reeled off everything else he was telling me to go buy.

It's just a pain ain't it lol but honestly it needs sorting though if this works I'm just going to have to go in and lower the settings specifically for when I want to watch Fight Pass.

Trying that now anyway so thank you, I appreciate that massively so thank you :)

Update: Nah it's still done it in the same place on a lower bitrate lol Thank you though as I appreciate that suggestion, I thought that might have worked :)

I'm gonna try a live stream on it too at some point because from what I've read too the live streams are fine though I've yet to see.

Just to let ya know mate, apparently the UFC are giving Fight Pass a revamp in October.

So the whole of Fight Pass will be a lot different to what it is now, hopefully that will fix your problem :).

To be fair, they have been really helpful with the email team, it's just Rod on chat who is awful so it's best not to bother with that chat at all as it'll just frustrate you lol

The fire stick is the cheap streaming alternative for the financially challenged. Try getting a proper streaming device or smart TV.

The problem isn’t Fight Pass. The problem is the Firestick. They became popular because they were cheap and easily hackable, not because they are good.

Not really and I'm not financially challenged either (I know you weren't saying that as an insult), I was also advised to get the Firestick when I enquired about what to get for the Fight Pass service.

Also, like @JimGunn also said, "Like you I have the new Fire TV 4K and I noticed the same problem too. All the other apps work fine and hold audio & video sync, including ESPN+, DAZN, Facebook Watch, Pluto, Xumo, you name it." it's the same for me, I run Netflix, Youtube, Pluto all in VERY HIGH definition/bitrate completely fine.

It's only Fight Pass that has this problem which they've already told me that it's a known issue they have with their app and the Amazon network.

It's also apparently fine when Fight Pass is live though I've yet to see with that.

Just to add actually, you know you mentioned that Roku Ultra (the page you linked for that wasn't there for me) however is this it here: Amazon product ASIN B07KDFH916
It's £200 for us on there ($247.16) where as you mentioned it was $80 on the link so I'm not sure if I've got the right thing there I'm looking at?

Either way they need to fix this regardless as it should be working on there like everything else but just out of interest, is that the right thing? :)

Edit, actually just looking at it I think it's cause it's a US device so isn't that compatible here, some people were asking about plug and saying BBC iPlayer won't work on it (UK services) so I'm not sure it would be great for me anyway :confused:

Just having a browse of this now, I can't find Combate Americas in the search (I've just installed Facebook Watch now) only Combate, Combate Guatemala, Combate Peru, Combate Ecuador, Combate Extremo, Combate 49 and a couple of others but not the America one (Is it Geo blocked or am I just not finding it however I did type "Combate Americas" in the search).

The one's that are coming up are all really short videos under Combate however I've found a long video under Guatemala and left it playing and it's perfectly fine :)

I've never used Facebook watch before but are these video's various users upload as this could be a specific upload issue if that's the case however as you say in the web version but I'm watching one now on the app that says "Conversamos con los chicos implicados en el drama de Axel" (I can't see the title or the rest of the description as it only shows so much but it's under recently added), it's playing perfectly fine though on this one (around 8 mins in and still ok), the reason I ask about the Facebook uploads thing is cause I've noticed some of the video's are better quality than others (some are real high definition where as some are not widescreen and lower quality).

As I say though it's baffling because Pluto, Netflix and Youtube are very high definition and no problem at all with them, they work perfectly fine and Pluto is live stream too, I've also seen lots of other various live HD streams and never a problem, just really great however Fight Pass is the only thing for me out of all them which does this.

Someone mentioned above though how they're revamping the app and the guy on the chat told me they knew there was a problem with the app (hopefully the e-mail team will help me out more who are working on this right now and being quite helpful) so I will let you know but it definitely looks like it's an app problem as it's very few and far between and this Facebook watch is working fine for me (tried a couple of video's now since you posted and while typing this).

Also bare in mind my Firestick is wired too (I have a Amazon Ethernet Adapter for Fire TV to make it a much more solid connection) so there's not any risk of Wi-Fi drops and buffering etc.. so maybe this plays a part with the Facebook watch thing, I'm not sure however it's perfectly fine for me on the video's I've been playing, which this is the third one now and it's ok :)
 
I got problems with fight pass too...lots o problems but I keep paying for it cause I am fucking stupid as shit.
Actually it works pretty good on my android and you watch it through the UFC ap. Except everytime you start watching a video about half way through it kicks you out and then you have to find where you were before. This really sucks if you are watching a long event ...:(
