Philosophy does not have a central doctrine nor do philosophers claim to reveal will of gods and creators of universes so of course you can pick and choose.
Though, when you pick and choose Christianity you're being disingenuous because it is divine, it has a central doctrine and well, it is written in a holy book.
Not only that but Jesus would be pretty upset if you only did SOME of the things he preached. Not sure if you would make it into the kingdom of heaven if you went around accumulating sizable wealth but called yourself a Christian or banged random people outside if marriage and called yourself a Christian like so many "christians" do.
1 John 1:8
New International Version (NIV)
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
