Bernie is not some big socialist boogie man like the right like to show him as for sure. That being the case he has shown some policies that would put him in stark contrast with many democrats. African Americans for the most part are not fans of his because of his immigration positions. He finds himself at times siding with Donald Trump but far from being as radical. I have to give him credit he has not switched from any of his positions over the years and he is very proud of his stances. Interesting person for sure and Hillary problems are going from bad to worst. She cannot sugar coat them and then hope they go away. Old line democrats seem to have already given up on Hillary but are not into this Bernie Sanders thing. Bernie has no real chance though of winning the Presidency the media will tear him apart.

One of the vids I watched he did mention creating jobs through a public works program for the crumbling US infrastructure.

It'll be interesting to see how the "he's a socialist!" stuff will play out. Unlike Obama where they had to dig up stuff and make inferences, they'll just use Bernie's quotes. I wonder how that'll play with voters.

It was a waste of time from the beginning.

I mean, he's asking about Bernie's platform like he was some unknown. Ten minutes on Google or Youtube could have answered his questions.

I was more interested in learning about his supporters than him. He claims to be a socialist so i have to take him at his word. I was curious as to whether there was a real socialist movement in this country or if you want to elect a socialist but expect him to govern like a liberal democrat. It sounds like the latter is the case...no reason to get butthurt.

That said, his platform is basically identical to the campaign promises of Obama. Save the planet, free college, free healthcare, eat the rich, etc. Instead we got Obamacare, solyndra, and a trillion bucks in student loan debt.

I dont remember Obama promising free college or free healthcare.

I remember someone posted a vid of Obama before he was elected where they asked him about single payer healthcare in other countries and he basically responded something like "Well those systems are great despite what the detractors here say, and they work very well for thsoe countries, but I think we need a healthcare solution that fits more in line with Murkan culture"...

And then came Obamacare...

Socialism can work if everybody goes to work for 30 years and pays into the pot and excepts that everyone is equal, even they clearly are not. The problem is that there too many people in the US that are too lazy or too worthless to pay their share and so they just take, take, take. What Bernie issues Bernie might think can be caused by Socialism will only get worse and eventually the US will to decide if it wants to complete the cycle and go Communist in order to rebuild itself.
