California

Where do you live and where have you lived? Where here have you travelled in California and for what purpose?
Don't listen to him. Dude bashes California every chance he gets. Probably because he's all butt hurt about Californians moving in and jacking up house prices. Too bad he doesn't realize that if California was one giant shithole houses wouldn't be as expensive as they are here and allow people buy houses in Vegas in cash... and not vice versa.

Of course in a state of 39 million people there are going to be bad areas that out number other states. But at the end of the day vegas has around 9k homeless people... Which you don't see as much because they hide in underground tunnels like master splinter. Not to mention North and east Vegas is are war zones as well

People believe everything they see in the media. Just like the dopes who claim Chicago is one giant shithole but have never stepped foot in the city.

State income taxes
Sales taxes
Gas taxes (SB1 + a million other props)
Electricity costs
Internet costs
Water costs
Inheritance laws(prop 19)
Building regulations galore, nobody builds new, but ADU's pop up everywhere and often dont have to comply since classified as "additions".
Homeless policy

only god knows how much of our taxes siphoned for high speed rail, water supply,
Well if you leave, don't move to Illinois lol

Ahh, I know his name but didn't know he had a massive grievance with us.
I adore Vegas but I wouldn't be slagging off California if I lived there, I've seen heaps of homeless people there regardless of underground tunnels.
Do you know why specifically he hates us? Or is it every state apart from Nevada?

Here’s a fact: If you are not among the top income earners in Texas (middle class, in other words), you pay as much in taxes as you do in California.
State governments get their money one way or another.

But you could have simply said “cost of living,” and “freedom,” since you have a problem with people not being arrested for being homeless.

Born and raised here and I can never leave. Love this place to death. On the flipside, you'd be a total retard to transplant here. The cost of living simply isn't worth it plus everything that made it cool to be here has died with the cost of living.

Those are individual things though, if I buy internet service from spectrum in California, why does it cost much more compared to Texas? Probably workers/ minimum wage, taxes, whatever.

As for the homeless issue, it was a disgrace and out of control for a while, now they are largely gone, so you saying California arrested all of the homeless?

I moved out here on my own account around 15yrs ago

Born in south Florida, grew up in the midwest

I chose this place due to climate, unreal endless outdoor activities and views. I enjoy off-roading on my licensed dirt-bike. I can ride off-road from my house to Big Bear anytime I want during the summers, then explore desert canyons during winter. I also enjoy road motorcycling and we have world-class twisties in the mountains. I live right next to two of the tallest mountains in SoCal so I can change from palm trees to pine trees instantly

I’ve almost tripled my salary since living here doing the exact same type of work and I bought my house for $100k in 2015 (older house but move-in ready) so cost of living is low when you add it all up and my house has more than tripled in value. Ive even bought acreage as an investment even more rural cause a lot of people are migrating to the desert for a cheaper way of life and the local cities are expanding due to this

Gasoline has been up and down but its only around $.50 higher than when I moved here initially

I live somewhat rural and absolutely hate the bigger cities mainly due to traffic

I’m about 90-100mi to any beach I want to visit from San Diego to Orange county, I avoid LA at all cost don’t care for the beaches there and the traffic is worse there than anywhere

I’ve snowboarded and surfed on the same weekend, that’s pretty unique
