News California Trying To Be First State with MASSIVE Change to Kneeing Grounded Opponent and REMOVING 12-6 Elbow Rules in UFC

Hell yeah, it makes MMA a lot more interesting and reduces stalling cause you better set up your takedowns well or get the hell out and try again. It also gives another weapon to wrestlers to use from side control and north/south. Knees on the ground makes MMA far more dynamic.

Kneeing a downed opponent will force wrestlers to find a new way sir.
Its also an extremely effective position.
Tbh I think it will favor wrestlers a lot.
Using the cage is the safest option for strikers defending takedowns.
With grounded knees allowed, I think fighters would be too Much concerned in not eating a knee in his face, and probably worsen a lot their TDD.

Ok, now wrestlers will have an additionall weapon, and a worth of highlights one.
But how I pointed before, I think the defensor will be too much concerned in not eating a knee, and probably we'll see more fighters given away the takedown.
I think fakeing a knee then drive the opponent to the ground will be their new staple.

wrestlers can already being kneed in his TD entrance's, but I dont think is very smart trying to knee a guy already clipped to your legs, you can't generate much power and will probably just eat a single leg.

With every new tool, these guys will learn how to defend it.
This will open the door to more finishes, and also negate a lot of the stalling tactics that guys have been playing.

According to Ariel Helwani it will allow fighters to FINALLY knee opponents with their hands down and ABOLISHING 12-6 Elbow Rule

You guys into it?

Should have been changed years ago, and not just in California.

I wish they allowed 12-6 elbows when Condit was fighting. He was sharp at giving damage from his back
