Opinion California on fire

So you honestly believe a fire dept. in our year of the lord 2025 would refuse to hire a 6'5" tall large black man? Let's not pretend a 5'3" overweight lesbian is the same thing.
Do you actually believe that there are not any hiring managers that are racist towards blacks? What kind of rock do you live under? How many fire fighters do you actually know?

You don't truly believe that. No one is that stupid. No one cares what color or gender you are if you are the best person for the job. Lowering requirements to get diversity is dangerous. The Fire Chief is a DEI hire and focuses on DEI hires....listen to her....she is full of shit and because of her ideals she puts lives at risk. You want people QUALIFIED for what they can do, not for what they look like. Keep DEI where peoples lives aren't at risk. True equality means a woman should have to life what a man has to. I don't care what color or who you like to fuck. Requirements need to be the same. The tests should all reflect performance only.
You need to bone up on American history. Affirmative action is here for a reason and fire departments were some of the most difficult organizations to integrate.

They're demonic. They connected the fires on a map and it formed a pentagram. I can't post pics here. Each location where the fires started, draw a line to the next location. The fires made a huge ass pentagram.

Location checks out……

Solid argument there.

You're clearly a Democrat.

Plz move to Canada. Thx

I would ask you to source that it was neglected in anyway, but you would just gish gallop some bullshit off twitter.

You seem very naïve as to the scale of this blaze, which isn't surprising since your entire view has been shaped by a 900 pixel images off social media.

Soooo… the Fire Chief confirmed exactly what I posted. Wow, what a shocker

It’s a honor to be called stupid by an idiot like you. Idiots are too stupid too know what they don’t know

Karen Bass almost fired her chair…. then waffled. Why?? I’ll let you explain that one to us… lol

They’re going to be eating themselves before long

I think the manager will watch this 6'5" man walk in and think "Damn, this guy is a beast. If he interviews well I gotta lock it in before another dept. snatches him up." This is how normal people without persecutory delusions think.

Countrywide 96% of firefighters are male. Shouldn't you be whining about the managers' sexism or does your logic only apply selectively?

What is this, the second time in a decade California has had apocalyptic fires like this? How can a state with so much revenue be so poorly managed? Is there any sort of forestry management in the state?

Are you arguing that climate change has had no impact on droughts and weather conditions in California? Because that's laughable. And no the 117 million gallons wouldn't have lasted a week, water would have still ran out. That quantity would be for refilling the tanks that water is umped from. Hydrants aren't directly connected to the Santa Ynez reservoir. How is it it you work in utilities yet are so consistently wrong with basic facts?
Have a read chief.

"California wildfire" redirects here. For the current fires in California, see 2025 California wildfires.

California has dry, windy, and often hot weather conditions from spring through late autumn that can produce moderate to severe wildfires. Pre-1800, when the area was much more forested and the ecology much more resilient, 4.4-11.9 million acres (1.8-4.8 million hectares) of forest and shrubland burned annually. California land area totals 99,813,760 or roughly 100 million acres, so since 2000, the area that burned annually has ranged between 90,000 acres, or 0.09%, and 1,590,000 acres, or 1.59% of the total land of California.<a During the 2020 wildfire season alone, over 8,100 fires contributed to the burning of nearly 4.5 million acres of land.

The primary factor is accumulation. This has been going on at these levels in California LONG before anything to do with barely noticeable anthropogenic theories...
