Opinion California on fire

Not sure if this has been posted but Hasan Piker went on the ground to talk to the slaves being used to fight these fires:

Sorry but whatever X poster you copied from had it wrong about the Klamath dam, it's a long way from LA. As for the 700 number, I'm surprised you don't know more about what actually happened. With all those citizens dying because of negligence you would have thought there would actually be repercussions.

In contrast, so far 24 people have died in the LA fires.
Oh Fuck off. Is this some kind of game to you? Several historical sites have been wiped out by the fires, some were 100+ years old. How many people’s lives are completely destroyed by Govt leader incompetence in California? 100,000? Not including those who have died… and that number will definitely climb.

Still don’t know where you shit that 700 number

You’re comparing an event across an entire state vs part of a city. And yes, Texas leaders were held accountable.. and criminal charges should have been brought against the power providers. It was inexcusable for so much of the state to lose power.

I was here for both cold events and 2021 was far worse. It hit 7 in some parts of town. The previous event hit 20 in Houston. 2021 was lowest since the record of 5 in 1930.

Sustained Sub 15 degrees in Houston has never happened in my 20 years here. And it was much colder the further north you went. And lasted an entire week

Fires are a regular event in Southern California. Its retarded you’re comparing the two. There’s no excuse for them to be caught with their pants down for a predicted event. They even had several days warning by the weather service

it was well below freezing, brother. I wouldn't call that a cold snap. someone else made reference to how California can't be expected to adequately respond to a once every 500 year occurrence and most reasonable people would be able to look at what happened in Texas during the 'cold snap' and realize it too was a once in a lifetime occurrence. a little humility goes a long way.

Except the Texas cold snap wasn't a once in a lifetime occurrence, the same thing happened 10 years prior. And they did nothing to prevent it from happening again.

Real journalism from CBS News... what we all knew was true, the Fire Chief confirmed it out loud.

Amazingly, the City's homeless budget exceeds the Fire Departments by almost $500 million

Newsome's SANCTUARY Cities got 31 $Billion Tax Dollars taken for illegals.

Just more proof that GPII.

GPII - Does Not stand for Grand Prix International Incorporated.

GPII - Gavin's Priority Is illegals.

Horrific stuff happening. I'm heartbroken for all those affected directly by these fires. May G-d protect all the firefighters and anyone who is helping out.

I see you don't understand how budgeting works if you think that LAFD had its budget reduced for the year. The lack of critical thinking in this thread is appalling.
There is no water in the fire hydrants, no fire prevention done, water reservoir empty, DEI applicants hired to mismanage things, No plan at all to prevent fires in a state that regularly gets fires, and money that was supposed to be spent for fire prevention was wasted.

But apparently you think this is all fine and dandy. They literally couldn't have done anything else to screw this up more of they tried. But Go Gavin!!!

Apparently about a third of the firemen are prisoners, who get paid a maximum of $11.24 a day.

There’s no excuse for not being prepared for a fire of this magnitude. There is the possibility that this could be arson(domestic terrorism). That’s the sad reality of the world we live in.
