I've been in Florida my whole life and we have recovered quite well from the recent hurricanes. Our home insurance issues are definitely a residual problem and one of many weaknesses of Desantis tenure but Biden would look like a complete fool (not hard at all) for criticizing Desantis over his leadership effort in our recovery from several natural disasters that have hit us since hes been in charge.

Maybe the cost to rebuild can be lowered if all those people, who desperately care about the environment, just rebuild a small home instead. Pretty sure they don't actually need 10 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms. Less building materials and less power consumption is better for the environment.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people building what ever they can afford, but I didn't allow my state to turn into a tinder box just to own the chuds.

Good to see desantis to reestablish himself, especially in relation to CA and Newsom

Lots thought it would be Newsom vs desantis in 2024, or even more so in 2028. Depending on trump and Biden.

But dang. Newsom looks weaker and weaker every time his name is brought into the national spotlight, where as desantis always shines.

Will be interesting to see who Vance picks as his running mate for 2028, as Florida is a rally point now for the conservative moment, with lots of potential running mates. Byron Donalds, Rubio, Desantis, Don jr.
