Yes, white people all over the world and throughout history have experienced atrocities like slavery and persecution. But in the very specific context of American history, white people have not been enslaved, colonized, or forced to segregate on the scale that black people have. They do not face housing or job discrimination, police brutality, poverty, or incarceration at the level that black people do. This is not to say that they do not experience things like poverty and police brutality at all. But again, not on the same scale — not even close. That is the reality of racism.

how do minorities face job discrimination? if you're black and educated they'll practically make you VP your first day on the job. Housing discrimination? The ECOA has been around forever and there is NO DISCRIMINATION when it comes to getting approved for a house unless you have shit credit, collections aka don't pay your bills, or you just don't have a job that pays enough to get the size of house you want. People will make money off anybody they can... profits don't discriminate. Poverty? anybody can get a college education.... thats why the degree is not worth shit now because the government will let ANYBODY take out student loans to go to school and everyone has a degree. public education is free - School districts will bus low income kids around to different elementary schools and high schools so that there are equal number of kids in poverty in those schools. For police brutality and incarceration its as simple as following the fucking law
