Cain Velasquez is Mexican/isn't Mexican Thread ***Threads Merged***

Funny. Seems your education system in the US must be worse than we have here (and that is fucking horrible) because you clearly do not know what the word "reply" means.
Lol @ American education.
;)
Want to not reply again? Idiot.
lol

Oh you South African DOPE
I was going to reply with something else, but decided against it after realizing where you were from & pointed out a FACT that made me feel bad for you & your country.

Dopey is, where dopey lives - how are you doing on that $1.25 per day?

Oh, let me guess 'Prince" you are not one of the TWENTY-FIVE PERCENT that your country treats like garbage.
That makes you one of the 75% that takes advantage of them

BYE DOPEY

Of course. How could I expect an American to communicate with anything resembling an ability to use the English language?
Lol @ American comprehension.
:)

You are aware, of course, that my government treats far more than 25% of the population like shit. No, I'm white, so I'm in the safe, educated, and wealthy portion of the population.
Again, that education is just failing you all over the place.

Literally every first generation American refers to themself by their heritage.

So yeah Cain is American.

Its funny how patriotic people expect minorities to be in the United States when they're treated like second class citizens.

White guilt is a tragic thing. I tell my white buddies this all the time.

There is no "if" Cain is an American of Mexican descent.

This whole thing is almost as annoying as the title "African American".

Imagine how annoying it is for a white African.
You gotta keep those dark-skinned wannabes over there under control.

please dont lump us all together. as a white dude who understands history to even the smallest extent, "white pride" and "brown pride" or "black pride" are not the same thing. not every white dude is an overly sensitive, insecure racist.
I'm Hispanic and I don't see any difference between "white pride," "black pride," "brown pride," etc. I'd imagine only a racist sees a difference.

I think that at this point, commission consisting of independent, unbiased experts from several unrelated countries has to research his Mexicannes.

Please stop defending my fellow brown skinned Americas. They are hypocrites who live in America, and succeed from it's brilliant setup and values, and then turn around and show loyalty to another nation.

Name me ONE TIME where Cain has said, "I'm proud to be American."

i agree. and this is what people are not understanding.

people came to america to leave the country they were living in. the whole point of being an american, is to assimilate to american society. it isn't to hold allegiances with the country you left. it's no wonder that the folks from other countries don't view americans who happen to have ancestors from those countries the same as them.

we americans are not the same as they are. we're our own entity.

1. I showed you two examples of where white folk showed eager, if possibly shallow, loyalty to other nations. It is to be expected from immigrants, their children, and their grandchildren. Complete identification with the new country to which one has come takes a long time.

2. Also, how exactly is this hypocrisy?

it doesn't matter how an american feels about the country they came from. ask the folks from that country if they view that american as the same as them. that is the question to ask.

I find it amusing how much attention this is getting. Let me pose this question. If You were to get in a car accident with someone who looked like Cain Velasquez and thet fled the scene Jon Jones style. How would you describe him to the Police? Be honest. It seems that we only have a problem with shit like this when its to benefit some bullshit argument. Im pretty sure everywhere he goes hes identified as a mexican before he even opens his mouth.

I think he's getting the bad rap about not being mexican is because he probably shows little to no knowledge that he knows how to speak spanish. It's just like some chinese friends I know who say they are chinese but really they don't know any chinese, but do everything in the chinese culture.

Cain quote:

"I was born in America and I’m proud to be American, but my parents are from Mexico and I’m proud of my heritage, too," Velasquez said. Jun 10, 2015

----

All first generation American's are proud of their heritage. I'm proud of having a Portuguese heritage. I'm still American and so is Cain.

Do yourself a favor and stop associating being an American with being white. I'm brown skinned and raised in Kansas. My race doesn't make me any less American than a white person.

My father was a Mexican immigrant, I identify myself as American. I feel like I am just as American as any white American with more generations in this country. Don't let these shertards fool you, My whole life I've had people call me and describe me as Mexican. Majority of my friends growing up and people I work with are white, so I wonder why they never call me American? I don't ever claim being Mexican or carry a Mexican flag so why am I Mexican? seems like white Americans want to pick and choose when you are American if it benefits their argument.

So you are saying that Asians, African-Americans, Spanish, etc., all call you 'American', but whites don't?
