What kind of provocation could happen where a pro HW mma fighter needs to use a gun? Only somebody shooting at him first. You speak as if you personally know the guy. Do you?

People in here have and always will defend their heroes. No matter what the circumstances or evidence say. There isn’t enough info out yet for me to say anything about this. And I certainly haven’t read the whole thread. But, I’m willing to bet that even after the news he was arrested came out (LOL.. look at the post before mine). There will be a plethora of support for Cain. Blind hero worship is never a good thing based on a public persona.

We literally don’t know what some of these guys are capable of. That’s why I rarely even comment any time this shit happens. Let justice do it’s thing, and then we’ll know.

Attempted Murder under California Penal Code 664/187 PC is the unsuccessful attempt to commit murder. If that is the case, he likely will say it was for self defense. Then the issue becomes what are the self defense laws in his area and did he have the right to use lethal force in the face of that threat? The only thing I can think of was the guy must have brandished a gun at him or was in the act of hurting/threatening someone else. I've a hard time thinking some normie intimidated Cain to the point that he felt like he had to shoot the guy.

He probably knew the guy. If he had a gun, chances are good Cain was there to shoot him.

Although Cain Velasquez's involvement in a shooting that took place Monday remains unclear, online records show that he's being detained in a Santa Clara (Calif.) County jail without bail.

Wonder what happened but I know in AZ you can get a gun by just walking in and buying one.

More than likely if Cain shot someone the guy had it coming or was trying to shoot him first. I say just give the champ the benefit of the doubt and let him go.

For fucks sake, just shut the fuck up. You and everyone else here has ZERO idea what happened. Quit pretending you do.
 
He seems like such a calm dude. I wonder what the hell happened. It’ll take a couple days I’m sure for the details to start trickling out, hopefully there’s a good reason for this. Would suck to ruin the rest of his life for something really stupid. Common sense leads me to believe he would’ve had a justifiable reason to shoot someone. Like they ran up on his car while his family was there or something.

To add to this. The problem is we live in California. Even if someone is robbing your house and your shoot them, you can go to jail. We’ve got crazy drug addicts and transients all over and they seem to be more protected than the average citizen.
 
Whittaker was put in Skyrim recently and I heard Cain was also gonna be added to the game but he took an arrow to the knee.

I was the gun. I saw everything bro. I don't remember that much just that Cain was eating a fat burrito before the incident.
