Definitely Pico imo

Guys like Sage or Sean O'Malley are hype jobs but they're getting built up and aren't rushing things, they also aren't seriously spoken of as future champions, just as kids with potential to get there.

Pico on the other hand was built up as gods gift to MMA with people touting he's the best prospect we've ever seen. Now he's 4-3 that seems to have quietened down a little...

He should be fighting 3-2 cans right now not 10-0 prospects. He’s just been rushed as a young fighter

Sage actually made it to the front of reddit with this gif....his hype was immense....and he had the UFC fully behind em.

Sage was only hyped bc his looks pico was hyped as the next big thing that would be champ by the end of the year. No one actually expected sage to be good.
 
No biggest hype job can’t be a Bellator fighter that most have never heard of.
 
They threw him to the wolves too early. He should been built into the tougher fights loke they do with most Bellator prospects
 
He got caught he was winning the fight the entire time. Pico is the real deal.

This is the correct answer. He has 4 spectacular first round KO's where he looks like a world beater.

Then 3 stoppage losses where he looks as green as he is. It's been criminally bad management from the start.

Aaron is coming off a loss with a 4-2 record.... so they book him with a 12-0 red hot prospect who finished two consecutive opponents in his Bellator run. Its like his management team is stuck on stupid.
 
he sparred a lot with tj. those two knocked each other the fuck out multiple times for sure. now we are seeing the results of dumb training on both sides.
 
They kinda fed him to the wolves tho. Guy needed to develop properly

Jumped onto a "big" stage for his pro debut, supposed to train with all time greats only to flop on his debut, thing is...he crushed 4 cans in a row after, then they gave him a good striker...Pico has no chin, then another striker...not only a striker, undefeated in two combat sports striker...another KO.
 
Forget about his losses for a sec. Was anyone else not impressed by his wrestling? The guy gets talked about like he's the next Khabib, but his opponent kept getting up from the ground.

Rousey's dominance evolved around her undefeated streak, beating WMMA fighters that were barely met the definition of 'fighters.' After she was beat once she might as well have retired then.

Biggest hypetrain derailment ever, and this Pico guy isn't in the same consersation because he never even sold a PPV.

she beat everyone in front of her at the time -- she was great AT the time

that argument can still be made with tito royce etc as well

I think what TS means by the thread is who is the biggest product of empty fluff/promotion to be exposed
