Economy Brunel University: Wimps more likely to be leftists.

You are trying to tell me that these 3 physical specimens can't throw down and kick some ass? I am shocked.

Leftist men are more likely to think they are entitled. The playing field should be equaled out for everyone so we need social justice/progressivism, cultural marxism. There are a lot of problems with that worldview. It can make you lazy an not willing to put in the work to be strong mentally or physically
You're entitled to that dogturd opinion based on being too lazy or mentally weak to work through to more complex reasoning.

hi zebby23,

ahhhh, lol.

its times like this that i like to fondly think about Ayn Rand, going through life bitching and moaning about the pure evil of government safety net programs...

...and then hustling her bony ass right into Medicare the moment she was diagnosed with lung cancer.

then why do so many trump supporters have tits?

Yeah, this has been posted before, and I had/have no problem in believing it. Among other variables, physically weaker persons are more likely to rely or have to rely on intelligence, while physically stronger persons are more likely to rely or have to rely on physical strength. Sitting in a lab or office doesn't exactly build sexy biceps, and operating a jackhammer or sacking quarterbacks doesn't exactly build up intellect. The author touches upon this "chicken and egg" dilemma:

Also, persons who are very weak, such as the physically disabled, are of course more likely to support socialist programs that provide them with a certain quality of life, or the ability to live at all. It's perfectly sensible that a person like Stephen Hawking would support socialist redistributive policies that provide accommodations for persons who do not have the use of their legs, arms, etc.

This is, of course, a matter of marginal difference rather than causal relationship.

hey there Trotsky,

good post.

there's this part of the study also, which for reasons that remain mysterious to me, apparently weren't worth commenting on by the TS;

“This is about our Stone Age brains, in a modern society,” Price said in an interview with The Times. “Our minds evolved in environments where strength was a big determinant of success. If you find yourself in a body not threatened by other males, if you feel you can win competitions for status, then maybe you start thinking inequality is pretty good.”

Of course, this isn’t rational in modern environments, where your ability to win might have more to do with where you went to university,"

so, really, my only takeaway from this article was;

a) i feel generally more satisfied about being alive in 2019, as opposed to say, the Paleolithic era of human history. afterall, New York University wasn't around back then, so hopefully i've gained some sort of edge, despite my inability to bench press 500 lb.

b) despite the general lack of acumen that some right wingers display here in the WR - they could still probably beat me up. i guess that's good for them? idk.
