Buffer has been crap since the beginning but he has gotten so bad in recent years that it actually gives the sport a black eye. They should've dumped his ass when they dumped Goldberg. Get rid of the clown and find someone that looks and conducts themselves professionally.

MMA is and should be more of a show than a sport. Having an incredibly boring announcer like Wayne Buffer or Martinez just feels fake. I live to emotion that the "better half" Buffer puts into his announcements. Sure, he can't pronounce some names but he's American, you guys have big problems with pronouncing foreign names properly. The only one to do it better than Buffer would be the crazy Pride lady, she was epic.

Here it is in simple terms: He embellishes Hispanic fighter names to a cringey-degree. He pronounces them normally all the time when he's talking, but when he announces he puts comedic stress on trying to sound Hispanic. It's not offensive, just cheesy. Sorry if my subjective take on it shocks you.
Again, if I didn't know or speak Spanish, or live in a Spanish speaking country with a Spanish speaking wife I may not have noticed or cared, but.... it is what it is.

I hate fight intros to begin with, and Bruce is a part of that. So I'm not a fan of him personally--his suits are cool--but he's a good announcer.
