If you think Buffer is bad.. Try watching BKFC. Jeff Houston is ridiculous.

Let’s say Joe Martinez takes 45 seconds to intro a fight. Buffer will take closer to 75 seconds to intro that same fight. Houston would take closer to 120 seconds for the very same fight.

Especially if there is a local fighter in the fight. And BKFC ALWAYS has many local fighters from the State where the venue is.

Bruce is weird getting in fighter’s faces the way he does. It’s not necessary. He wants to be part of the show. Because his ego has certainly grown exponentially since his first cpl years in the UFC.

The Buffer 360, and nonsense. I mean.. He blew out his fucking knee doing an intro. That’s fucked up.

But I would take Buffer all day, everyday over Houston. Houston is a fucking clown.

Buffer never use to fist bump every fighter and get right into their face and scream at them, but when WEC folded and Joe Martinez was signed it put a lot of pressure on Bruce because he just doesn't have that smooth pro voice like Martinez does, Martinez is a real pro and has a radio voice.. so Buffer started to go dramatic and he screams way louder than he used to and he gets in the fighters face and fist bumps them to make himself more part of the show and that he is worth it. His suits have got much more colorful as well to stand out.

if you go back and watch UFC between 1997 - 2014 you will see his is much more relaxed and will never fist bump and high five and scream in fighters face and wore a plain black nice modest suit.

I'd prefer Martinez personally, I always liked him from WEC days, he has a proper real pro smooth voice, which Bruce doesn't, but I think UFC likes Bruce for the entertainment value

Not sure if you're aware of what a ring announcer's job entails, but it's pretty much a Mad Libs template for each and every fight.

If you're looking for a lot of variety, get season tickets to Broadway shows, or zero in on the fight commentary, not the fighter introductions.
