Brock if he had trained MMA in Russia after college and stayed healthy, GOAT?

All the size, skill and he couldn't take a punch.
I think this is a myth that sounds like it could be true but he only was stopped with strikes by a Prime Cain and Ubereem.

He never go KO'd cold and survived Carwins onslaught.

Brock had a decent chin. Mark Hunt got KO'd more times than Brock ever did and everyone says how legendary his chin was.

I meant he didn't like getting hit, never reacted well to it.

This isn't true though. His chin was monsterous he ate every punch Carwin threw, his only problem was inexpereince and shelling up when his opponent started to hit him.

If he had trained longer he would have have overcome this phobia, that's rookie stuff.

Yeah this chin was fantastic, and he also seemed to be a natural with the ground game, beyond just wrestling. Heck, by the time of his last fight vs Hunt he was even amazing at avoiding strikes while setting up his wrestling, similar to Khabib.

He would have ragdolled Jones and his skinny noodle legs kind of sad he didn't fufill his potential. He just started too late.
Jones is a god awful matchup for Brock just like Cormier would be. They’re both at least as good if not better than Lesnar at the thing he’s elite at, and they’re miles better everywhere else. Jones probably stops his shot and chews him up on the way in while Cormier probably commits the wrestling and does Brock dirty grinding on him until he crumbles. Both fights are fun but neither ends up being particularly competitive.

In reality that's how it shook out, but IF Brock had learned russian style chain wrestling and sambo he would destroy DC or Jones in MMA. American wrestling doesn't fare well against more advanced arts derived from judo. His strength and athleticism is a huge advantage he has over both of them.

I feel like you’re assuming Brock would have been great at this particular style based on watching other people dominate with it. This starts to get dangerously close to “what if Khabib lived in prime Brock Lesnar body?”

because Russia has generated so many great heavyweights in recent years...

Soviet union Brock would at least be character like no other.
"Comrade"

Brock is the perfect example of why not every top athlete can make it in fighting. Lots of things are different about MMA, like you get punched in the face. Not everyone can handle that.
The perfect example for you is a guy with very little mma experience being HW world champ?

Brock took 100 punches from Shane Carwin, and didn’t tap to strikes like Shogun or GSP did.

And we’re talking HEAWYWEIGHT here.

Not to mention, the Undefeated Carwin had 100% KO in the 1st round going into that fight.

Please don’t say stupid things SherBro.

If you want to talk about not being able to take a punch… Heath Herring who had fought the likes of Fedor, CroCop, Big Nog, and Igor… retired after taking a punch from Brock.

The diverticulitis which nearly killed him twice, obviously changed things.

If he committed to grappling and striking at a younger age he would have been a problem for a lot of people.

He made tremendous progress in a short timeframe with a late start so it's only reasonable to assume he would have been a top contender.

No one said anything about him having a weak chin, tapping or giving up. He doesn't react to punches well, citing a fight where he was beaten half to death doesn't really refute that. A lot of the reason he was nearly stopped was because of how he defended them.

Velasquez punches pretty much showed that Brock will over react. Pretty sure it was even visible in his earlier fights in shorter sample size.

His reaction to punches had nothing to do with his disease. People already cited this way before he fought Overeem.

Oh son of a bitch... THIS is what I meant.
I never said he didn't have a bad chin. He couldn't take a punch, react well when hit. We're agreeing lol.

I meant he didn't like being hit.

Spoken like somebody who has never trained nor been punched in the face, and is trying to put 2 and 2 together theoretically.

DC ran from Rumble. Does that mean he doesn’t react well to punches?

Holy shit dude. Every pro fighter backs up when they get wobbled.

Training in Russia would have nothing to do with anything especially back then but yes if there had been money in MMA he'd be amongst the top HWs of all time, he is anyway.
