International BREXIT: Leave/Remain Referendum on June 23 Will Change Europe, No Matter the Outcome.

So lets say leave wins, what then? Do they prepare for a divorce from the EU or is it more complicated than that?

The answer to that question is in the OP, along with all other basic knowledge around Brexit that we have already covered comprehensively in this discussion. Start with the "Anatomy of a 'Brexit': What the aftermath would look like" post from June 9, and go from there.

Once again, I'd like to invite all newcomers to this thread to do the same to get up to speed, while the rest of us are monitoring the latest vote counts.

I Googled Brexit and the results (updated 5 minutes ago) are currently in favor of Leave at 50.7 percent.

London turnout lower than expected
The weather has had an effect on turnout in London, the pollster John Curtice says.

Could that affect the Remain side who are hoping for strong support from the capital?

They should leave, it is obviously God's Will!

Allah put that channel there for a reason. When man disobeys Allah's will, he will bring all the heavens down upon him.

Kettering votes to LEAVE
Remain 39%, Leave 61%

The party's over in Brussels
Matthew Holehouse, in Brussels, says things have turned sour at the Funky Monkey bar.

The party's over in Brussels. The Funky Monkey, an Irish pub next to the European Commission HQ, had been packed when polls shut at 10pm, and officials were in high spirits as Gibraltar declared at 96 per cent for in.

But as Remain were dealt two heavy blows in Sunderland and Newcastle, the mood suddenly turned sour. "F---!" shouted one official. Others had tears in their eyes and headed for the door. At half past one local time, the TVs were turned off, and staff trudged home. Over the road, lights were burning all over the Berlaymont HQ. At 10.30am Donald Tusk, Jean-Claude Juncker and Mark Rutte will meet to digest what it all means for Europe.

'Narrow win for Leave' predicted
The University of East Anglia's referendum live blog predicts, on the basis of the first five results, that there will be a narrow win for Leave.

Predicted probability of Britain Remaining: 0.48 (5 of 382 areas reporting.)

Predicted vote share for Remain: 49.8 percent.

(90% prediction interval: 42.7 to 56.8 percent)

Still believe Scotland will tip the scales to Stay.

The key is gonna be what happens in the big cities. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Bristol, Nottingham, Cardiff, Sheffield will be the real deciders. Saying that, London will override everything really.

Today is probably the greatest/worst day in history for Forex traders.

I think it's foolish to make this kind of predictions without any results coming in from London. If the trends continues then I'll start to worry.

So do you all think the Remain campaign shot themselves in the foot with all the fear mongering and the average briton did what briton's are known for by being extremely stubborn.

U wat m8?

It's still early but some of the "counties" reporting for brexit should have broke for remain.

They are trying to sway popular opinion by playing up the "Pound Plummeting" story.

Of course it's going to plummet, but it won't stay down. Any sort of change is bad for the market (not necessarily the economy long-term).

Keep strong Brits, vote yourself out of that Muslim/Socialist cesspool. This is your last chance. The free-world needs you!

'Leave now favourites to win'
This just in from the polling expert John Curtice:

This is like watching an American election. Finally we get a Brit version.

Absolutely.

For most Brits, this is probably the first time ever that they're this excited to watch the votes being counts in real time.

Can't blame them though, the General Election in Britain and Canada are as exciting as watching paint dry, because their voters generally vote against the party that they hate. That means people cast their vote, go to sleep, and see the result the next morning in the papers.

This is the first time ever that they have an objective to vote/cheer for, and eagerly awaits for the results as they're coming in.

Polls are closed so agitprop is pretty meaningless right now.
