Brendan's a public figure, and he became one by his own doing. It's extremely difficult for public figures to win defamation suits. If it wasn't, every celebrity and politician would be filing dozens of defamation suits every day, and every parody show like South Park, Family Guy, or that pile of steaming trash known as SNL wouldn't exist. This is why Kyle Rittenhouse isn't going to be successful suing anyone who said anything about him after the interview he did with the Washington Post in January of 2021. The only reason why Nicholas Sandmann was able to take CNN to the point of settlement was because he was a private citizen who the network attacked unprovoked by showing a selected snippet of a video that portrayed him negatively without showing the part of the Native American guy approaching him first. For a public figure to prove defamation, they have to demonstrably show a negative impact on their lives as a result of something wholly unsubstantiated that someone said about them either out of malice or indifference.

But hey, if Brendan wants to pay a lawyer and ultimately have to foot the bill for this Youtuber's legal fees with nothing in return, then he should go for it.

For those who arent familiar with this wanker’s buffoonary, he told Mike Tyson that he would be no mach for Tyson Fury if they both fought in their prime ( on a seperate podcast he mocked the wideheld opinion that Tyson is the top 10 heavyweights of all time.)

Joe had his production company "Bent Pixels" complain to YouTube and get the video taken down, so the kid edited the video 3 different times.
That happened until YouTube basically said they were false claims and the kid got to keep his video up.

That's probably why Schaub is going to sue because he knows the current kid would probably win if YouTube were to judge it.

This is fucking embarrassing. If you're a public figure, people have a right to criticize you.

Libel/slander have very high standards, and Schaub would have to prove that whoever runs the channel is knowingly spreading falsehoods with the specific intent of causing him some kind of quantifiable economic harm.

All that's happening here is somebody is clipping all of the stupid shit that Schaub says in public and doing commentary over it.

Not only that, he would have to prove that said quantifiable harm could be identified and was absolutely caused directly by the accused (and not Brendan's myriad of instances when he made him self look like a whole entire retard)


If Brendan Schaub is looking for someone who has made him look bad and negatively impacted his career... I suggest he watch his own Netflix special.

Yeah, literally all this guy's attorney would have to do is play unedited clips from any of Schaub's podcasts or the JRE, and no judge or jury is going think that someone lampooning Schaub does any worse damage to his reputation than he does himself.

But that's assuming that this nonsense would even get to trial, which it won't. I think even Schaub realizes this and is just trying to scare the dude by having him served with legal papers.

The only thing Brendan Schaub will accomplish is to give the guy a bigger platform upon which to bash Schaub.

Which is about what I would expect from someone with Schaub's combined ego and intellectual capabilities.
