Theres tons of stuff to complain about the Fox panels for but race isn't an acceptable complaint. I'd focus on how terrrrrrrrible Woodley, Bryant, Kenflo, and Bisping are first. I don't know if its a cost thing, but why isn't Curt Menefee on there instead of Bryant? I've always enjoyed when he shows up.

Yeah i do, considering i have a degree in film and tv, and unfortunately it was a BA which means i had to do the bog standard 'othering/feminism/marxism' modules that a Liberal arts degree forces down your neck.

Do you know how many films were released that year? Do you know how many great female performances there were in the entire world of film? Go and fucking find out then come back to me with that Halle Berry shit.

She was up against shite competition and was a clear winner. If someone in Kenya made an amazing flick that somehow wasn't nominated, you can safely erase that from the conversation other than the ones in question because they're irrelevant to her winning in the pool of nominees. Someone in that group was going to win, and you claim she only got it because she was black. So I guess hand it over to Renee for her hard hitting portrayal and nuanced performance of a chubby girl daydreaming about her boss.

My contention was actually that they chose shite contenders for Berry to compete against. If they pit her against Isabelle Huppert for example, or literally hundreds of other great female performance that year, she'd have zero chance. Stick her against Zelwegger etc and it'd be goodnight Irene. IIRC wasn't The Others eligible for Nicole Kidman to win for that year also?
