I don't care about that and no consumer should. It's classic corporate speak to make them look like the little engine that could. When their costs get lowered and profits rise, do we get a cut? Nope so why should I ever care about the operating costs of a business I don't own or work for.
The video game market has faster growth than movies, music, books and TV combined. Those CEOs can take a few million off their bloated salaries and bonus packages if "the costs are too high." I wonder how much waste goes on in the industry too?
They also sell us ripped out content, mircrotransactions, gambling boxes and the worst when talking about consoles, pay to play online. None of those new revenue streams existed 25 years ago either.
