Can you explain what's crazy here I don't know see what so bad about trying to get damaging info from another country on yournoff political opponent. Is that against the law?

BUT THAT MEANS THAT TRUMP IS ACTUALLY PUTINS LAP DOG

IMPEACH IMPEACH

I think there's a reason Mueller is stocking up on prosecutors/former prosecutors and appellate attorneys and not typical investigators

yeah I'm sure he's got plenty of evidence

but to make it stick he needs to either prove that policy changes were offered or that there's a money trail, or both

to complicate matters further, most if not all the evidence is classified, so deciding how to provide it will be tricky

I've listened to him plenty.

He's just a dumb guy who you dorks think is smart because has a fancy accent.

Like most wannabe ancaps, he supports Trump and the GOP which is a really fucking dumb thing for you guys to do.
You don't actually think you have a rational outlook on this stuff, do you? C'mon man, let's be real. You know what you post.

So its agreed fact that 3 very high level members of the trump campaign met a well connected Russian promising dirt on Hilary.

Getting hard to deny collusion now.

Question now becomes was there a price??

Not Obama's fault the DNC wouldn't turn the computers over the FBI. I wonder what info we could have had that would have helped the investigation. What a shame.

I'm not making any political FB posts and I'm gonna use this chance to respond to the many times I was @'ed on here about my claims of this happening wayy early in the Presidency:

Obvious Collusion and Treason Was Obvious.

Honestly tho, I stopped following the subject a while ago. This was all so obvious and dumb, like... it's just annoying to me at this point. There probably still isn't the political will to do anything about this, which is incredible, but there will be a lot more evidence to come forward.

Reading that whole email exchange. I can't believe he didn't consider the Russian might set him/Trump campaign up.
I mean he thought at the time the Russian wanted his Father to win. But who knows.
Getting this deep into bed with the KGB seems stupid.
From all, he knew the Russians tried to set him up and release this stuff right before the election instead of now.

Seems like a big gamble. Considering he didn't know what the info was.
Kind of makes me think he might have had contact with the Russians before.
And they gave him legit info. Just my opinion, of course, no proof or anything.

Or maybe they're not used to the game at this level where the machinations are far better planned with bigger time horizons than in the real estate world. The world of international politics is a shark tank that you don't just jump into.

I don't think that makes Trump, Jr. dumb or suggests that he lacks foresight but if you don't play this game regularly then you're going to get taken for a ride in the beginning. It certainly didn't help that he was seemingly surrounded by people who were doing similar stuff but with greater understanding of the consequences.

The law and my limited experience with politics are nowhere near that level of complexity and even now I'm surprised by the depth of the games within games over seeming minutia that politics deals with and even the law, known for it's love of minutia, doesn't come near.

Yes..
I just spoke with a buddy of mine who is a lobbyist here in Austin and he said if you're given information you definitely have to either pay for it or consider it a donation. But he said since no information was given.... nothing would need to paid or considered donated.

Very sticky.

Yeah, I trust Americans more than Vladimir Putin.

I think that's a completely rational stance as an American citizen.

Given the international nature, I think the leaks we're seeing are one of two ways

1) Someone in the current/former Trump team is singing

2) International intel is the source of leaks to press

I think the money trail might be easier since ole Donny had to get $$ from Russia but that's just my personal opinion

And Goldstone was considered a friend - looks like this guy is a Russian agent IMO.

someone correct me if I'm wrong...
nowhere in that email chain does it ever say that lady was a Russian government rep....so the question is... can he accept information from a Russian private citizen??? that's the legality of it.

Will you guys give up after this calms down and turns out to be more hyperbole?

Kiss the ring......

You know they won't.

Wait till someone tips them off about Trump meeting Fedor. Fedor has personally trained Putin in Judo, and says that he considers him a personal friend. That's their tightest tie yet. Good thing liberals don't know about MMA.

Yes..

lol

right, they talked about adoption

Treason is not defined by "at war" status.Be more clueless.
http://law.jrank.org/pages/2195/Treason-Elements-offense.html

Exactly two sentences after that laughably broad sentence you quoted (a "breach of faithful support" could mean just about anything, which is why right-wing zealots wanted to impeach of Obama for not wearing a US pin):

]But this dual nationality does not relieve him of obligation to refrain from volunteering aid or comfort to the foreign nation if it is at war with the United States.

The next paragraph:

Wrongful intent.
Wrongful intent is a necessary element of the crime of treason, varying in character according to which of the two forms of the offense is in issue. To be guilty of levying war against the United States, the individual must intend to use organized force to overthrow the government.

Again, Trump is a giant moron and a danger to the world, but neither he nor his son are going to get tried for treason. Let's stop spazzing out.

Putin is a man I respect. Trump is a fuckin clown. Putin is in his 60s and in better shape than 95% of this forum. Everything he stands for, we need. Weak fuck. You're one of those clowns who talks shit about Islam and dies begging at their feet. Useless.

It does actually say she is a an attorney for the Russian government.
They are actually mistaken about that part though. She wasn't. But either her or Emin was misrepresenting her and what she had to get her into the meeting. She actually just wanted to shill for a non-government clients wishes and didn't have shit to give.

Logan Act

That's fine. Junior will get fined or put on probation.

My point was, treason is a gigantic crime and the Trumps aren't anywhere close to it. And even the Logan Act is highly unlikely to be used since, apparently, not a single person has ever been prosecuted for it.
