I am not "patriotic". Putin said that America does not have allies, it has vassals. And he is right. Our "allies" just allow us to control them. To put any weapons there. That is why Russia is not our ally.

Who is leaking this and why now? Mueller Investigation didn't know about this from statements they've released about it. So if they didn't know, FBI/Intel didn't know. So who had this email chain - Donnie Jr, Manafort and Kushner were CC'd it as well. Then Goldstone of course, but who else?

Either it's foreign intel services who don't want to go through official channels to give it to Mueller because Trump Admin would eventual find out which country narc'd him, or it's the Russians. Is this Kompromat? Goldstone would have let the lawyer know he set things up and probably the businessman and his father as well - did he bcc them this chain? Is he a Russian agent? If Russia knew about this and knew Donnie Jr, Kushner and Manafort could all be implicated - they were all ripe for blackmail.

The way the initial email was so overt in the source being a "Government prosecutor" with "official documents" of "high level and sensitive information but is part of Russia and its government's support for Mr. Trump" - it's too overt, like Goldstone is going out of his way to claim Russia government is ready willing and able to help Trump win - In an EMAIL. I wonder if Goldstone was setting up Donnie here, and he absolutely fell for it hook, line and sinker.

Timing of this leak/story was right after the Trump/Putin meeting at the G20. Maybe this is a shot across the bow of Trump given that Tillerson made the statement that Ukraine has to be left in order to talk sanctions.

In the emails, they get Trump Jr. to confirm that the Russian government supports Trump's campaign.
I mean if this would have been a private firm or private person ok. I probably would not inform the FBI.
But the Russian government? Any politicians should have smelled this set up a mile ago.

He got set up by the Russian. Imagine they would have leaked this before the election. IF they wanted to hurt Trump instead of Clinton.

I would have informed the FBI. And then one or two weeks later leaked the story myself.
But with Trump Jr as the patriot that placed America over the presidential race.
Just my opinion of course. But yeah this is what happens if you try and get into bed with the KGB.
