Breaking: Conor McGregor signs EIGHT fight UFC Deal - Proper 12 Sponsor for every fight

If you consider the first of those eight fights to be the upcoming championship match against Khabib - that's about the right amount of remetches he's gonna need in order to eventually land his lucky punch and get one win.

Know your statistics.

And in the rare event he wins in less than 8 fights, he can always redo the Diaz fight.

Dana & Conman know their shit.

I think this was stupid. He is fighting against Khabib, his next fight is Nate, i can say he will fight GSP. It is likely he will lose against Khabib, he may lose to Nate and GSP will murder him. If he wants to fight in FW, there is Holloway, Holloway has a chin and a KO artist with a great cardio. He can fight in UFC whenever he wants. He had to be patient.

I think Conor is smart to sign this contract, because if he loses he's taken care of financially.

The UFC is probably stupid to sign this contract. They should have waited until after the Khabib fight.

Khabib, Nate, GSP, Holloway. If things go badly then Duffy rematch (or unless things go very well for Duffy). Who else is there? And I'm not talking about the likes of Kevin Lee and Al Iaquinta.

This was a brilliant move by the ufc. They basically have the rights to the rest of his career. It’s not like they won’t renegotiate after every fight. They will but the ufc has a ton of leverage

if he had any confidence he would only sign one fight contracts and hold the UFC by the balls

he knows his stock is going to drop after he gets finger blasted by khabib in 18 days

if he wins he will hold out for more money this shit is normal

i'm lapping it up

6 fight contract. His perspective on that will change if he loses badly. GSP won't be calling. McGregor probably won't fight Ferguson. Only Diaz remains IMO.

You're the one who is clearly obsessed. I'm just saying you're irrational hate of Conor is sad and pathetic.
I DONT HATE CONOR . IF HE TOUCHS HABIB IT MIGHT BE OVER THOUGH. IF HABIB HAS A CHIN LIKE NATE THEN CONOR IS DUNSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

In the long run, if his whisky venture takes off... it could be his greatest success. He would be known as the MMA great, but Proper Twelve could see us all in our graves.

I'm not sure I would call it brilliant. If Conor loses to Khabib 2x in a row (he'll probably get a rematch if he loses), and then loses 1 more fight, an 0-3 run could kill his career.

This contract almost CERTAINLY prevents the UFC from cutting him, and gives him tens of millions in signing bonus + guaranteed show money. An 0-3 Conor could end up costing the UFC $10-20 million over his last 3-4 fights.

However, if Conor keeps winning, then it's a genius move that prevents him from fighting elsewhere. The contract also likely specifically includes clauses that he's not allowed to compete in other sports (i.e. boxing), without the UFCs express permission/co-promotion.
