Breaking: Conor McGregor signs EIGHT fight UFC Deal - Proper 12 Sponsor for every fight

Barbosa and Dos Anjos are top fighters, plus Conor only has one win at LW in the UFC.

Barboza isn't.

Conor has wins over 3 of the top 10 lightweights, 2 in the top 5 by KO.

Shows how much conor believes in himself. Quick let me sign a massive fight contract before i get my face caved and have to goto rehab. Could you see conor signing anything other than a 1 or 2 fight contract after 205?

If Conor fought Horcher, Michael Johnson, Iaquinta and Barboza his last 4 fights I'd be picking early KO wins for Conor every fight and I'm sure the bookies would agree. Khabib has been having a pretty easy run no one from the current top 10 except Barboza.
How many top 10 LW wins does Conor have? One. Yeah, now you're gonna say "BUT BUT BUT HE BEAT THE CHAMP!"

OK, then why bring up the opponents at all if all you need is a gimme title shot and your general career at LW does not matter?

Bottom line is - we will know who the true undisputed king is in just 2 weeks and all previous belts, records, easy or hard opponents etc. will be irrelevant.

Just hoping both make it to the cage.

If you look at the current lightweight rankings Conor has KO wins over top 5s Poirer and Eddie as well as his avenged win over Diaz.

Khabib despite being champ only has a decision over Edson and somehow Al has moved up two places after losing to Khabib. Lot of work to do to be considered King of the division.

Khabib is the most disputed champ of all time, Conor has the real belt, Tony the interim and Khabib got his belt by beating a guy outside the top 10 who's spent the last 3 years working as a real estate agent and only win in recent times is Diego Sanchez.

Just reading this thread and some of it makes no sense TBH.

People talking about him quitting, suicide, Career down the toilet, not seeing out his contract etc.

Why Exactly?. We already have a precedent. He lost to Diaz already and none of that happened.

1. He wanted to avenge the L straight away and even at the same weight and came in determined to win and the interest in that fight was through the roof. Even if he lost to Khabib, The rematch would be a masive money maker.

So no hiding or quitting.

2. He avenged the loss, destroyed alvarez and scored a fight with Mayweather. The loss hardly affected his ability to make money then.

3. Before the Mayweather distractions, Conor fought 7 times in 2 years in the UFC. If he stays that active again he will see out that contract fairly quickly.

Even if he loses He can fight Tony, Rematch Holloway and poirier and if he wins a couple then a rematch with Khabib will create a lot of interest.

It really does seem that peoples dislike of Conor as a person seems to be stopping people from thinking straight.

Nope, I've been suicidal since my divorce 5 years ago.
I know I can’t say anything to help you, I’ve lost two close mates to suicide this year. Please don’t become another male suicide statistic

After he loses to khabib, he should fight Nate 7 times.

Eight fight deal you say <mma4>I bet he don't stick around for half.

Can you guys imagine Conor actually fighting seven more times after his fight with Khabib?

He'd make an insane amount of money + set the bar extremely high PPV wise.

Hopefully he gets that stadium show in Ireland he's wanted for years now.

It just means that he can't fight for any other promotion until the contract is finished. I highly doubt we will see more than a few more fights from McGregor.

Conor loses two in a row and we never see him fight again.

Write it down.

He will still negotiate after every fight too.
He wanted to promote his liquor & UFC wanted to lock his career up.

they worked TOGETHER
