ooops thanks for the clarification. Guess I'm still living in '06. Smoking weed and fingering freshman chicks, ah those were the days. Not that I'm still into fingering 15 y/o's that would be weird.

The concern i have re Barroso is how good is he? If you look at his record all bar his last three fights have been in places like Mexico, Panama, etc. Therefore what kind of quality has he fought? Looking at his opponents records the quality doesn't look good. His biggest win was his last fight over Mitchell, but Mitchell was at the end of his career and he has never had the best chin. It's still a good win but Mitchell pissed his career away a long time ago with booze and drugs. Crolla has been in there with far more proven fighters.

I'm not suggesting anyone tails as this is a hard fight to call due to the unknown factor, but i will be on Crolla dec @ +187. Crolla isn't the biggest puncher but I'm not sure how many times Barroso has been 12 rounds. Of course he could fade badly and get stopped late, but I'm willing to take the gamble based on the generous decision line.

WBA being in Venezuela does make me nervous tho. Especially as it seems that Crolla has a penchant for getting fucked over.

I will play Crolla dec pretty small before the fight and then lb.

yeah his comp level is a ?for sure, as well as hig age and stamina. For the record I'm not suggesting anybody tail me here, like I said you and others have good arguments for a good fighter in Crolla. I'm just taking a risk on Barroso, he could be in over his head up against the best guy he's fought in his career but I do think he's got a high upside here. Should be a fun fight, both guys can put on a show. I think Crolla is gonna be forced to fight him off and there will be some fun exchanges b/c of that.

My action for this weekend so far:

Marvin Quintero (+215) vs Petr Petrov $50.00 for $107.50

Ismael Barroso (+105) vs Anthony Crolla $100.00 for $105.00
Ismael Barroso wins inside distance (+173) $30.00 for $51.90

Kubrat Pulev (-291) vs Dereck Chisora $116.40 for $40.00
Kubrat Pulev wins by KO/TKO/DQ (+175) $40.00 for $70.00

Saul Alvarez (-385) vs Amir Khan $350.00 for $88.00
Saul Alvarez wins by KO or unanimous decision (-249) $249.00 for $100.00
David Lemieux/Glen Tapia Under 6½ (-120) $60.00 for $50.00

As well as Crolla, I am on Canelo R7-12 stoppage +300 and Lemieux/Tapia does not start round 6 +125.

Really like that Lemiuex/Tapia play, those two are gonna try to kill each other. I think Lemiuex might finish what Kirkland started and kill that poor guy. Dude's trainers should've been lined up and shot for not stopping that. Canelo 7-12 at +300 is pretty sweet too. GL guys.

Added Pulev by KO +200 and Pulev R7-12 +420, both small. Chisora's chin is definitely diminished and I don't think the odds quite reflect that. Pulev isn't a big puncher but he has stopped Ustinov, Dimitrenko, and a pre-shot Michael Sprott late. Hopefully Kubrat comes to put on a show because there are a lot of money fights out there in the HW division as an incentive. Although a Chisora win wouldn't shock me if he turns up motivated.

I added a bet on the under 6½ of Lemieux/Tapia to my action loosely tailing bruthead's wager. Also with the Alvarez wins in round 7-12 bet at +300, it's a decent line. Interesting to figure how that would that compare if you split the same amount of money evenly over Alvarez wins in round 7-9 at +350 and Alvarez wins in round 10-12 at +800 which are available right now. I'm sure there is a mathematical way to figure out which is ideal, maybe based on how likely you think the mid-round stoppage is versus the late round stoppage.

I am on the Alvarez inside round 7-12 for 3.40 at Unibet for 1 unit. He might be winning it earlier, but I am pretty certain Khan is getting knoicked out.

Thought the under in Gavia - Lemieux was to expensive so I went with Lemieux in R1-5 for 1.83 for 1 unit.

I'm really liking Canelo by Dec
At +500 odds many places. He is not the knockout seeker that he is billed as. He's a counter puncher with power. Its up to Khan to give up the KO which he is certainly capable of, but I see another Canelo curiously lopsided dec

boxrec bet :D

Marcus Morrison - Jefferson Luiz De Sousa (unibet/888sport)

played both since limits is small for me:
fight goes the distance +400
morrison dec +450

i dont know why the odds are so favored on morrison to get a finish? he only fought ranked 400+ bums so far and he is moving up a weight class for this fight.. his opponent is pretty much the same only fought bums =/ 1 ko loss in 2007.. fight is only 10 rounds.. worth a small punt imo

Not with you on this one dude. Yes Morrison has fought journeyman but Sousa has between mainly people with 4 or 5 fights and a guy who is 1-20! Hes only ever fought in Brazil and Brazil is not exactly a hotbed for boxers.

I do really like Singleton over Anwar tho at -200. Singleton only one loss and Anwar has lost 4 of last 7 after a good start to his career. Liking Singleton dec at evens too neither are punchers and Anwar only been stopped once.

Been thinking in canelo/Kahn.

What if Kahn is gifted a decision to line the pockets of a maywether/Kahn matchup..
Thinking of hitting the decision line for Kahn and hope he moves well to avoid the damage canelo can dish out..

Ok... A little bit conspiracy based but stranger things have happened

fair enough. only looked at boxrec and a few seconds footage so its not like i am confident at all in this one. but with both fighters being total question marks i think the line has a bit of value in a 10 round fight...

i think the fight will have livebet on unibet so might be worth watching the first few rounds at least.. if it last that long :D

hmm would kahn vs mayweather be a bigger fight then canelo vs mayweather 2?

if you are going to bet this you should be looking at the betfair exchange there you can get khan dec ~+500 and fight goes to dec ~+190
