Both Charlie Olives and Islam are Overrated Mega Thread

Why are people acting like they haven't seen this 'I will drop on my back because I know those boy will not follow me there' tactic with Werdum and many other fighters. Even if don't need, you can have that luxury and do it. Did you not see Charles getting up 2 seconds after and continuing pure banging like nothing happened. He was completely confident for the whole duration of that fight. Justin never stood a chance. He did what Justin does, only better and more savage, not to say with more efficiency, especially against top opponents.

Olives does the stanky leg, he actually gets hurt. He can get hurt and use dropping to the ground as a tactic, both can be true.

True, but he obviously also did it at times when he ‘only’ got punched harder, which is smart. Also, his tenacity when he goes back after 2 second shows that he is more than ready to continue same. But yeah, I agree. Combination of both. And that is smart regardless of situation.

It is smart, and he’s shown to be resilient. But it also shows his defense is poor and he’s vulnerable.
 
I was wrong, can't hate anymore, he's legit... Only Islam can do something against him, IMO. I'm not as confident as I used to be, that Islam would win. <WhatItIs>

Only man who can chain big damage and follow him down with explosion and more heavy damage was Chandler. Oliveira survived even that so I think he is good against pretty much anyone. Guys like Islam will never have that much of a power. Vulnerable yes, but even more resilient.

10 of his last 11 fight winning streak have been finishes and he's fought the best - dude's on fire, he is the champ period and a great one.
 
Truth is guys, no one would've guessed that Oliveira was this good.

Islam is a far more intelligent fighter than Chandler and Gaethje, that’s what makes him way more dangerous to Chuck. Even besides his skills.

Agree, but I am talking about finishing instinct where you can exploit Charles defenses more. Everything else yeah… By far most dangerous opponent for Charles.
