Both Charlie Olives and Islam are Overrated Mega Thread

I've probably bet against Oliveira 5 times. I won once (Edgar against him). He's a dog who somehow avoided losing his chin after getting KO'd like 18 times. Crazy career trajectory. Full credit to him.

TS deal with it, Charles "Do Bronx" Oliveira is LW GOAT
WAR!!!

Why are people acting like they haven't seen this 'I will drop on my back because I know those boy will not follow me there' tactic with Werdum and many other fighters. Even if don't need, you can have that luxury and do it. Did you not see Charles getting up 2 seconds after and continuing pure banging like nothing happened. He was completely confident for the whole duration of that fight. Justin never stood a chance. He did what Justin does, only better and more savage, not to say with more efficiency, especially against top opponents.
Justin was leaving gaping wounds in Charles' face when he was dropping him. I don't think that's the case.

I just don't get why people consider him in the class of Poirier, Gaethje or Khabib:

Khabib: demolished Conor, Poirier, and Gaethje, and Barboza

Gaethje: demolished Tony, Cowboy, Barboza, had incredibly competitive fights with Poirier and Alvarez

Poirier: beat Conor, Holloway, Gaethje, Alvarez, Hooker

Oliveira: beat a washed Tony, thats literally IT

Dude what are you smoking?
How was Tony washed up when Oilveira beat him? he had like one loss in almost 10 years
He destroyed Justin he ran thro Dustin and submitted Kevin Lee who was a top prospect two of those guys where ranked 1# and 2# and Jim Miller is no slouch man com on you sound like a casual

This thread is hilarious. Can't wait to see it get bumped after Charles finishes Islam.

Yes, but Charles just drops to his back, eyes straight on Gaethje. He never got knocked down with the force of the blow. He got hit and decided to not get hit again.

Poirier on the other hand actually wobbled him and his legs got wobbly, IIRC.

The OP is actually true, most sherbros unfortunately are too dumb to read. The OP was a criticism of his resume up until that point, idiots on this thread are jumping through hoops trying to imply it means it applies forever and ever. Lol.

I think this is the closest I've read to you admitting your post didn't age well. You're almost there...

Look at this supposedly "great" win streak. You compare this to Gaethje, Poirier or Khabib's recent records and its embarassing. So tell me again why Makhachev deserves to be mentioned in their category? Chandler has a stronger case IMO.

Bobby Green: Most overrated LW of all time probably

Dan Hooker: 2 fight losing skid, lost four of his last five

Thiago Moises: 2 fight losing skid, likely fighting for his job next month

Drew Dober: 11 career losses, just won his first fight in two years

Davi Ramos: Dude hasn't fought in over 2 years.

This is title shot worthy? Does anyone know who half these guys are?

Those are all decent wins (although two of those guys had very short training camps) but yeah, Islam is indeed missing a big, top notch, respectful win to put him over the top.

You're going to get flamed by drooling Islam fans.

Hooker win was 3 weeks notice
Bobby Green 2 weeks notice
Dober, full fight camp

All outside of the top 10 and 1 dimensional.
Combined record in their last 3 fights
4-5

I never actually claimed that Oliveira isn't a good fighter if you read the post. People just read what they wanna read. I stand by everything i said.

It's amazing just how far Khabib's hype can take your career.
In fairness, I do think Islam is a good fighter, but his resume is one of the weakest in the top 10.
He fought a lot of short notice guys and a lot of strikers, if he didn't have Khabib vouching for him, no one would be asking the UFC to match him with Charles.
