Yes, this is exactly what happens when a champion gives up the belt and it’s not taken away from him. Why do you think Dana was pissed off at GSP for walking with the belt? Why do you think he spent 6 months trying to convince Khabib to come back? The new champ has to EARN legitimacy if he didn’t take the belt from the old champ. It’s amazing how few of you morons understand this.

And before you come at me with the bullshit “Khabib beat iaquinta” nonsense, Khabib eventually proved he was the real champ. Whatever doubts were silenced in his last 3 fights. Also, LW at the time didn’t really have a legit champ, Conor hadn’t proved himself worthy and refused to defend.

That's what I'm saying on surface level, it might look like it did but I don't think it did. Reality wise, this was a fight between the number 3 and number 4 guy. It wasn't the cream of the crop.

100% agree. A bunch of posters are on here spiking the football, but Chandler was a question mark. He didn’t show enough in the 2 mins he was in there with Hooker. All of a sudden beating Michael Chandler means Olives isn’t overrated? I don’t buy it.

You still don’t get it; Olives is overrated. That’s still true. He’s not really a legit champ until he defends and proves it, that’s also true. The only one bringing Khabib into this is YOU. Khabib living rent free in your head lmao. This has nothing to do with Khabib, Olives is overrated right now, ESPECIALLY today from the looks of some of these thread titles.
