Boston considers allowing non-U.S. citizens to vote in local elections

This thread is a microcosm of Trumps America. A bunch of people who don’t even take the time to understand the issue yet are outraged over someone taking a job they would never want, in a city they’ve never heard of or practice a different way of life and if you ask them why you’ll hear every false, alternative fact that’s been vomited from the Presidents mouth.

Hahaha no, dont be pedantic
Just like one cant get government benefits, a job, sign a lease, have a bank account, buy tobacco or alcohol, drive, etc...without one.
Or vote

Outrageous stupidity it is.

You think illegals vote without ID, so they passed a law making it so legal immigrants can also vote?

Or all legal immigrants are actually illegals?

Thats because the voice of actual citizens doesnt matter anymore. Anything to get votes to stay in power.

State rights, but seems incrediboy stupid to me

Those legal residenta are welcome to become USA citizens if they would like to be, a process I feel should be simpler and more streamlined than it currently is

If they're a legal, tax-paying resident, then why shouldn't they be represented?

For example, if you're a non-citizen you still are legally obligated to send your kids to public school, so you should have a say in how those schools are run.

guess someone got those hands, and they weren't worth much.
