Borroughs would son khabib in wrestling

Khabib's dad invented wrestling. Khabib invented modern GnP himself

has it ever been said why Burroughs didn't try MMA?
 
6 months stand up training at any local kickboxing McDojo and Burroughs KO’s Khabib on the feet stiff round 2 imo.
 
Khabib has not wrestled competitively at elite levels.

He has done Sambo, Judo, and submission wrestling.

A lot of people on this forum constantly refer to his “wrestling” being the best in MMA.
He isn’t a wrestler in the American or Olympic definition of wrestling.
 
Obviously, it's just another level of strength and quickness at the highest level of wrestling. Khabib isn't a wrestler though so none of this matters.

No shit. He’s an Olympic gold medalist, 4 time world champion, and multiple time division 1 national champ.

Honestly, I think if Burroughs got into MMA a few years ago, he would have given Khabib a run for his money. Even now, he would be a tougher fight than most who Khabib have fought in the UFC.

he cant take khabib down in an actual fight. with punches and kicks involved he probably couldnt take down many top 10 lw and ww.

Assuming Burroughs just has his wrestling and no BJJ/submission grappling training at all, he'd take down Khabib off the bat and probably get submitted by a triangle. Khabib is lethal off his back, and Burroughs has no knowledge of submissions.

Under that scenario, it would be an easier fight than most of Khabib's opponents.
