Hated this movie. The scene where they take turns saying lines from Wall Street (an awesome fuckin movie btw) is cringe worthy. This movie was just a douchebag fest from one scene to the next.

Comparing it to Glengarry Glen Ross is blasphemy.

I liked BR, but GG was in a totally different league. Baldwin's cameo alone is better than most entire movies.

GGR was awesome and Baldwin was intense!

Boiler Room is much more entertaining than GGR. GGR is just a bunch of old dudes in a room jacking off together. Still a really good jerkfest, though.

"Third prize is you're fired."

Great movie, one of my favourites. Up there with Glengarry Glen Ross in terms of sales movies.

Both are great. I wouldn't say that BR is out there with GGR though.

Not even close.

You don't have the same dialogues epicness, delivered by such an epic distribution.

Sorry but you need more than BR to even approach Ricky Roma. And i m not even mentioning the other unbelievable characters.

''Patel ? Ravadam Patel ???? ''

I remember crying at that line the first time I watched GGR.

Can't say shit like that in movies anymore.

Am I the only one who hates Vin Diesels acting? It's like he specifically requests he come out of every action seen unscathed. I'm actually convinced of that after furious 7. Fuck Vin Diesel he ruins movies for me.

Pretty much. And I would take Boiler Room over Wolf of Wallstreet any day of the week.

And that's not to say that Wolf of Wallstreet is a bad movie. It's awesome. But just not as good as Boiler Room.

That's a pretty bold statement considering it has Vin Diesel. Was his acting as stale and unconvincing as it is now?

They're such different movies.

I'm not sure which I'd say was better but I definitely enjoyed Boiler Room more because of Ribisi, he was fantastic. Leo was better but I couldn't relate to him.

Great movie! It's no Glengarry GlenRoss, but it's still a very solid and enjoyable movie.

"Is he the reason I'm not hitting that?"

"Oh honey, you were never hitting it.."

Movies like this actually show that Vin Diesel can be a really good actor. I love the F&F movies like no one else. But it's nice to see him play different characters occasionally like in this movie, Saving Private Ryan and so on.

I've thought the same thing many times. Diesel has proven that he is a good performer. He was good in Boiler Room and Saving Private Ryan and, I didn't see it, but I've heard he was really good in Find Me Guilty as well. He needs to be doing more roles that show off his dramatic chops, but for whatever reason the studios just don't seem to want to put him in anything that's not F&F/Riddick/xXx.

Although he does have this coming out and I think it looks like it could actually be fun:

Agreed. GGR is a great movie. I've seen it maybe three times and someday I'll watch it again.

But I've seen Boiler Room probably 20 times. And if it's a Friday night and I'm at home and I want to watch something, am I going to turn to GGR or am I going to give Boiler Room another spin? 9 times out of 10 it's going to be Boiler Room. One could argue that GGR is better art, but Boiler Room is simply a more entertaining experience.

Young Vin Diesel was almost like a different person from his current incarnation. Though I really don't have a probably with his acting in the F&F movies.
