Bloodborne v2, The Hunt Begins

What's the word on this? Worth the purchase of a ps4? Reviews seem good across the board. Witcher is coming as well so I might be making the switch sooner than anticipated.

Still patiently awaiting my game of all games, cyberpunk 2077.

I've never played any of the Souls games before and am loving Bloodborne, one of my all time favourite games probably. First game in a while I've willingly sacrificed sleep for on work nights haha.
 
I am currently lost in the Forbidden Forest. I ended up in some cave where I was killing these blue alien things. I ended up running back to the lantern at the beginning of the forest because I had 65,000 Souls and I didn't want to lose them.

You were near the boss. You have to kill 2 giant pigs and follow a path that heads downward to a large graveyard. The boss is there.
 
Not logging in right now, anyone else have this problem?

I must have been close, because I killed one of the pigs and I saw the other one. I was just worried about losing so many souls. I opened a few shortcuts so I will run past all the enemies and get back to the place with all the snakes and the giant pigs.
 
God damn Shadow of Yharnam is working me. Two minutes to run to them and a minute of getting fucked up. Rinse and repeat. AhHHHH!!!!!1

Sounds like you're missing the elevator shortcut.

Use the monument to block the caster's fire while you focus on getting the melee guys down.

One elevator then a quick run to the ledge to drop down to the stairs that I opened the gate to. Is it faster to use both elevators and run past the the no leg water things and pigs?

Takes me maybe 30 seconds to use both elevators. Can't say I've tried your method but I'm back at the boss fight very quickly.
 
Getting into chalice dungeons now. Starting Central Pthumarian now. I'm level 55 so I'm a bit over leveled but I think the difficulty is coming. So far there isn't much loot in these things...
 
Finished my 3rd playthrough. This time I used the ludwigs sword as my main weapon and didnt really get into it. I didnt like the slow swing speed when in transformed mode..
The axe is my fave weapon to use for bosses ,with the whip being the best for dealing with playing through the levels. Now I will take a break from Bloodborne and try scholars of the first sin.

DS2 is going to feel like playing in quicksand after Bloodborne.
 
having trouble finishing Eileen's side quest

any tips for killing the hunter at the grand cathedral, I've tried several times and gotten close but can never finish off the last few hundred health he has

What you wan to do is bait the aggressive one with the sword and deal with him first. Use the large headstone as cover from the projectile guys and bait the first sword guy into a parry/visceral.

His parry window is pretty huge. 2-3 visceral attacks should put him low on health and trigger the 2nd stage. While he is transitioning just wail on him with everything you have and he should die before they transform.

Then just focus on the other melee guy just watching out for his big range attack. He is relatively easy to kill.

Once there is only 1 guy left just bum rush him and wail on him. Anything he hits you with you will get back when you hit him. His poise is terrible so you'll stun lock him most of the time.

What weapon are you using? Really getting down his attack timing for parries can do wonders.

You can also cheese him.
 
I've fucked up Eileen's quest on both my play throughs. First I just missed her at the Chapel and she became hostile later. Second one her and the Hunter in Oedon's Tomb killed one another at the same time.

Either cannon or bone marrow ash is going to get nerfed once this becomes more widespread. I'm running a quality build atm in the 70's and using the reiter with cannon. I've only had a chance for just a couple of pvp matches but all I've needed is one parry, which is easy to bait with transform combos. Too good.

I know the ways to cheese him since he wont follow you out of the double doors but I'm trying to kill him on my own

currently using the threaded cane +7 and the pistol +6, I'm around level 70 just can't quite remember my exact level.
