Bloodborne v2, The Hunt Begins

Think I'm nearing the end, just beat the Nightmare guy with the cage on his head. Wandered around and pulled a lever and took out a big brain eyeball thing and picked up a blood rock. From what I've read it's the only one so I have to decide what weapon to upgrade.

Congrats! Micolash took me forever because I couldn't find him in the second half of the fight.

I expect them to nerf it soon. Either cut the range down or cut the stun lock potential.
 
What armor are you guys using? I've been using the Charred set for most of the game now, mostly because it has the best overall damage reduction. I've found several other sets including Grave Guard set, Henryk's etc... and aside form specific advantages none really stick out.

I guess you're meant to mix and match depending on enemy strengths vs armor resistence specialty. I.E. using Henryk's against Paarl.

yharnam hunter gear on my last playthrough.
Mostly henryks on my other game.

I'm level 65, using a +7 Ludwigs blade. I downed the Dark paarl beast in 3 minutes. Not understanding this fight with Rom. You can add Another 40 bloodvials since my Original post.

Hit his weak side...
attacking his head wont do much damage...

if you have any beast pellets use them to boost your damage in the 2nd and 3rd phase..

Actually I was responding to another person having issues , you are an obvious fanboy who can accept no criticism of this game.
 
What am I missing? I watched quite a bit of gameplay on Twitch and could not, for the life of me, understand why people like this game. To me, it looks like it would have been an average game at best on the previous generation consoles.

IIRC someone did a spread sheet and noted that the most damage was mitigated was 8 pts of physical between cainhurst and starting gear. So its practically nothing but fashionborne. I like

Hunter Hat
Charred Hunter Garb
Cainhurst Gauntlets
Cainhurst Leggins

Its what I imagine Batman would look like if he was thrust into bloodborne. :D

TBH I don't think so. Its still rarely used and sucks with crowd control. But maybe.

I don't have any way of renting games at the moment. So I was hoping someone could explain to me what makes this game such a draw.

Just killed him using a combo of the flamesprayer and the one-handed Ludwigs sword. Not gonna lie. I happy-danced around for like 5 minutes. This unseen village seems rough. Enemies respawn endlessly?

Lol, you said the game is far from well polished and the engine is clunky and has been outdated for six years.

Again, you're exaggerating. I've offered my gripes with the game and said I've had some camera issues and the load times still aren't very good but they're ultimately insignificant enough to not make much of a difference at all. It's a very well polished and excellent game.

Even though it was a relatively easy fight i found this boss one of the creepiest parts of the game, the shit he says is just plain weird.

"Ah hah hah ha! Ooh! Majestic! A hunter is a hunter, even in a dream. But, alas, not too fast! The nightmare swirls and churns unending!"
