First Look at the Concept Art for the BLADE RUNNER Sequel
really looking forward to this, and it'll be interesting to see how it turns out. thanks for the notification!

Appreciate the notification. I might go back and rewatch Blade Runner some time this weekend actually; I haven't watched it all the way through in ages.

I rewatch blade runner ever few months, alot of Ridley Scott films really. But this universe is something that really marvels me

I'm excited for the sequel even if he isn't at the helm

This movie really makes me nervous. Blade Runner was perfect in every way and I don't see how they can improve or expand on the original. I liked the deliberately ambiguous ending with its unanswered questions. More artistic that way. Like how Inception was many years later.

I agree. I'm especially not looking forward to the mounds of CGI we're going to get.

Ya when i saw this today made me think of that, last time i watched it was the assembly cut shortly after i bought the blu ray.

I think i may watch the original cut again at some point though i prefer the director's and ultimate cut.

Blade Runner is a huge inspiration on my screenplay. The world-weary private eye, the enchanting femme fatale, the run-down, labyrinthine world he navigates, the questions raised about what makes us human, what drives us to do the things we do - I can't get enough of it. I hope that when the time is right, I find the right person to entrust with my vision as Philip K. Dick has with his story.

The sequel, set several decades after the original, is written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and succeeds the initial story by Fancher and David Peoples, based on Philip K. Dick’s novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.” Plot details are still under wraps. The movie hits theaters on Oct. 6, 2017.

James is best known as Morgan on AMC’s hit zombie drama The Walking Dead. On the film side, he most recently portrayed James Brown’s father, Joseph Gardner Brown, in the biopic Get on Up.

Great actor. Never could take him seriously on The Walking Dead with all that tai chi walking stick pacifist crap.

hate to be a downer.
this sequel will be disappointing to any fan of the original.
it may stand on it's own, but do not consider it on par with it's predecessor.
cast, writing, plot will all pale in comparison to the first one.

time to die...

I honestly view this as the most shameless money grab in the history of unnecessary sequels/reboots/remakes. It's been 35 fucking years. This is a simple cash grab based on a trademarked name. I might feel different if literally everyone from the original was back on board: Scott, Ford, the producers, executive producers, writers and editors. But short of that, and I've got extremely tempered expectations on this one.
