I would like this to be a great movie. Thing is, movies like the original blade runner isn't appealing to hollywood nowadays. The slow pace, dialogue heavy, atmospheric movies. I anticipate this to be a more action oriented film ala minority report

Rachael and Deckard are Nexus 7, which reduces the Nexus 6 specs so they don't burn out as fast.

You're in luck: Scott isn't directing this one.

Denis Villeneuve now holds my sight-unseen badge. I'll watch anything he does.

So he may still actually be a replicant then. Hmm, interesting.

I've yet to see Arrival but Sicario and Prisoners were great. The man knows what he is doing that's fasho.

If this movie was just like PRISONERS it would befit the BLADE RUNNER mythos; Villeneuve knows atmosphere and tension. So far I've enjoyed his depiction of action, too, so I truly believe BLADE RUNNER is in good hands. Even right down the retro-future feel of "2049."

He definitely is one, but I hope this film doesn't confirm it.

I never liked that idea. Deckard gets thrown around by the replicants, he seems to possess none of their synthetic advantages. Why send a shitter replicant to hunt replicants?

Looks like this might be a real good sequel to the original.

In.

I didn't love Blade Runner for some unknown reason and I wish I was hyped as most are for this.... I just hope it's good.

Interesting. I will definitely keep my eye on this.

The music and atmosphere look pretty good so far. (Even though this is a very short clip)

Probably taking a cue from Stranger Things that "retro" is the in thing nowadays.

Ilya Kuvshinov

This fucking guy's sense of lighting is unfair.

Gosling is actually really good at playing dark and stoic characters -- i trust the casting of him.

Feels great. This sequel has a ton of potential.

I have no idea what the story would be though.

why ryan gosling tho :\

I am sick of this hollywood tendency to just shove a high profile actor in every movie made today
then its like the movie focuses on that actor (proving that he can indeed act) instead of the plot itself

Yep.

Plus his face just doesn't fit this for me.

He has a kinda dopey, sad looking face; as opposed to a stoic, rugged visage which would sell the drama of this story to me.

They booked him cos (yes, he is a good actor, but) he is a top Hollywood draw right now.

Nothing in that trailer made me think it could match original - have to actually see the movie to tell.

Will wait on reviews.
