With his street fighting background and the fact that he won't have to worry about being taken down along with his really good striking it's a no brainer.

I think he would do extremely well ..even though I loathe him as a fighter.

If he retired from MMA is his UFC contract over?. Not sure how that works.

Guy is at the end of his career. It simply wasnt worth it for him to keep losing more teeth. He saw that he was not cut out for this kind of ruleset. It sucks that he didnt figure that out before he took this fight but it is what it is.

It was definitely more exciting than the UFC card, although Song did a great performance. It seems too early to tell if BKFC will ever grab a strong share over UFC, but a few things I noticed that I liked:
-Owner is engaged with fighters more, fist bumping them, inviting big name fighters to sit next to him, and talking in the booth, and he suggests fighters are taken care of according to him.
-The WBKFC fights were equally exciting
-They are attracting big names and starting to create their own as well.

In terms of UFC innovation, I'm not exactly sure what they can do better. I don't think it was a smart move and kind of taint their brand as a professional sport with WWE merger and slap fighting competition being added, plus the stain they carry now with more people disliking Dana and the whole concept of fighter pay (which seems to be everyone's biggest complaint)

I guess time will tell.

This was one of BKFC's best cards not just on paper. Whereas it was one of UFC's worst on paper so far this year. I watched both events last night but then again I rarely miss any whether good or bad on paper you never know how fights are going to go! Also had the hockey going !

It was a big mistake. Respect to him, man's a fighter. Fight anyone , any time , Any rule set. Perry is lucky it wasn't even just a kickboxing match

BKFC was my favorite card last night, but if you lined up their best cards of 2023 vs UFCs then obviously the sport still has alot to catch up on. I do think it is a more entertaining format that is easier for fans, it's more entertaining than boxing as well.

'Wrong mouthpiece' just sounds like these guys helping Luke save face, since when do you need some special mouthpiece to fight, just because its bareknuckle. You absorb harder shots from knees/elbows/kicks in regular fights anyway, and from the look of it he got his bottom teeth messed up, which has nothing to do with the mouthpiece anyway

Will the UFC try to re-sign Mike Perry?

I doubt the UFC would offer the same amount that BKFC would to keep him. But if the UFC resigned him it would kind of be a significant blow to BKFC and then the UFC can set up Perry vs Conor which would likely be a huge fight.

Mike's probably better off where he is,but they could bring him in to fight Conor at some point. As ludicrous as it sounds,it would draw money.

I think Perry is very happy where he is. It suits him well, and i am sure he is getting paid far more than in UFC, plus ....he doesn't nedd to trainm BJJ anymore or wrestling or grappling etc.

he can concentrate on boxing, and make big money, I don't see why he'd even consider leaving.

He will be offered a new contract and no doubt quite a big pay rise.
BKFC boss Feldman probably still has a chubby from the unexpected McGregor-in-the-ring after the main event. Could not have gone better for BKFC last night.
