BJJ Tattoos

I have a renzo tattoo. It has the logo as in my av and it says jiu-jitsu under it. Renzo could fuck my fiance and rob my house and it wouldn't matter because it is a living reminder of the best days of my life.

LOL, I just spit my morning coffee all over my counter.

Got a 6 month white belt at our gym who has gone and got a white belt tattood on his left wrist. Gets each stripe added once he gets them. He's up to 2 now...

So whenever he gets blue, will he get a blue belt above it? I could see coloring in the white belt maybe, but that would only work the first time.

If I was a GU student, I'd get all the DVD's tattooed on me as I progress through the waiste bands.

I may do a zombie in a gi. I love zombies and judo/bjj

Hahaha such a sick idea..... O man that is awesome.

Maybe a Zombie in a gi then you could get your belt color wrapped around the gi.

I kind of want this maybe on my thigh maybe.

Zombies only wear flesh-cloured belts...

A purple belt at my gym has jiu jitsu tattooed on his shins. Might say more than that, not entirely sure.

white - blue (a light blue nuance) - purple - brown - black

should work in colouring over it. you can often cover something with something darker

Purple to brown sounds like it might be hard to cover

Any sort of association tattoos are curses.

Get a spouse's name, you split. Get XXX, you break edge. Get a tattoo of your gym logo and you're at another one in a month. :)

Agreed, this is one of the main reason I probably will never get one.

I like Thales Leites' tattoo on his ribs with the sword that says "every man dies but not every man really lives".

I think tattoos are awesome and I was thinking of getting one as well. I also love jiu jitsu .

However, I think that, unfortunately (seriously unfortunately) because of the gigantic number of douchebag children who have gotten Japanese/Chinese text as a tattoo, getting one now is far too associated with them. It's unfortunate, but true. I love the Bushido Code that someone posted here, but I think getting any of those, it's just become cliched in Western society. It sucks.

I fully support people getting them though, I'm just not sure for me. Non japanese/chinese text tattoos about BJJ are also awesome.

GSP and Fitch got the Kanji for JJ on their heart.

Yeah, I know, and it looks awesome on both of them, really. But also, nobody questions it when GSP or Fitch have it-- they're world-renowned practicioners of jiu jitsu (or MMA at least). But frequently, having kanji writing on your body can make you look like another twentysomething who attached a meaningless tattoo to their body.

But hey, if it's got meaning to you, then fuck it, right? I believe that. If the JJ in Kanji means something to you, then that's all that matters, no doubt.

I did not mean to say you were wrong.

I always pissed myself laughing when I see some skinny idiot having a kanji on the back of their neck.

Q: what does it mean?

A: Strengh in chinese.

Me thinking: WTF!

First, you should see a doctor if you find yourself pissing when laughing. Second, so a skinny person cannot proclaim strength? The people that make trendy tattoos just as aweful as the cliches they are, are the people judging them.

maybe the skinny guy has inner "strength" like hes good at solving math problems who knows
