Tough warm ups and went over an omoplata set up and a couple of ways to clean it up at the end. Did a good number of rolls and finished in groups of 4 doing iron man. Left 100% exhausted.
 
1) I payed attention to the rubber ducky
2) Hex plates are *********ous
3) Nice abs

Coach is back from Asia after winning a big tournament. He said the guys in Guam train a lot harder than we do and he wants to kick it up a notch. Practice was tough tonight; did warm-ups then drills including a guard passing drill then went right into king of the kill from guard for about 40 minutes straight. Performance was a mixed bag because we have a wide range of belt levels tonight.

At home now eating a peanut butter chocolate protein cheesecake, showered and clean and still trying to catch my breath.

-Bad spot on the 235. He touched the bar on the 4th rep and helped a bit on the 5th so I'm calling it 4.5. Definitely had the 4th rep, 5th was questionable and I'm leaning towards no. All other sets were not to failure.

-I gain/lose fat very quickly. Already seeing and feeling good fat loss now that I'm sticking to my calories.

Thanks Mitch. Yeah very slight weekly deficit, cycling between 3200 M/W/F and 2200 S/Su/T/Th. Worked well for me before and I love the high-carb days.

Coach seemed pissed today for some reason. Worked a takedown from the feet, drilled a bunch then worked on the follow-up pass to back-take. Got a good amount of drilling in then did 30 minutes straight rolling 6-minute rounds with zero rest between rounds, no water breaks. Tough morning!

Notes

-Deads felt fine and yet I pussied out on the 6th rep for some reason. Had plenty left in the tank, need to find where my balls went.

-The other day marked my 3-year BJJ training anniversary. Wrote up a list of things I improved on during the past year and things I want to work on this coming year. I do this as like a New Year's resolution list except in October.

-Experimented with extending the fast after lifting today. Instead of going directly to Chipotle and chowing down, I drank another dose of 10g BCAAs. Went to Chipotle, got my order to go and went to Target to get some grocery shopping done. Got home, put everything away and broke the fast about 3:30pm.

-Assassins Creed III comes out next Tuesday :D

I love watching your videos. Always lookin lean n cut up, lifting like it aint no thang. You ever watch my dead lift videos?! Looks like my head turns into an over ripe tomato and is about to pop then I lay on the floor breathing hard for like 20 minutes.

The other day after BJJ, the coach said to everyone, "some of you guys have it in your head that you can't work hard." I had a sneaking feeling he was talking to me. :(

Open mat, ran a little late getting there. Rolled with a tough blue, a smaller blue and an older black belt. Afterwards most other guys had left except the small blue, BB and I so we got a mini private lesson. He showed us a cool back take from side control and he explained it really well, breaking down a lot of details and we drilled a few times before leaving. Glad to learn something at open mat.

Pretty big class. Did some challenging drills to warm up then went over drop seio-nage a bunch of times, followed by the back take we did this morning. Rolled for 30 minutes and had mixed results. Moved slower tonight, as I usually do when doing twice per day. Went with a GIANT blue belt, got tapped once then tapped him with a triangle. He farted directly in my face when he rolled over his shoulder too and it was disgusting. Left with soreness in hips and face.
