History Bizarre Cases of the missing and murdered

https://news.amomama.com/287752-7-year-old-finds-her-photo-a-milk-carton.html

Bonnie Lohman had a unique childhood and spent many of her formative years moving between places like Saipan, Hawaii, and Colorado. While other children were playing and learning to read, she was with her mom and stepdad inside the house.

As Lohman grew older, her parents granted her more freedom and allowed her to play with their neighbors. She was excited to join her stepdad on a trip to the grocery store and was intrigued when he pointed at a milk carton.

Lohman's stepfather highlighted her face on the side of a milk carton. The youngster was confused but asked him if she could keep the carton and cut out the image.

He agreed but told her to keep it a secret. Lohman shared: "I remember cutting it out and staring at the picture." She stored the photo in her toy box and had no idea what it alluded to because she couldn't read.

One day, when Lohman forgot her toy box at the neighbor's house, they came across the photo and acted immediately. The family realized she was a missing child.

Lohman remembered police swarming her home and arresting her parents before she was reunited with her biological father. It was a difficult time for the then-seven-year-old who did not understand everything that had happened.

The reunion with her biological father was not filled with joy and love. She had no recollection of him because her mom and stepdad kidnaped her at three.

A tearful Lohman stated: "I remember being scared because I didn't know my dad. It sucked." Lohman longed for her mother for a long time, but she eventually formed a bond with her dad.

Anyone remember the Chessboard killer from Russia? He'd just hit on grocery clerks, and clock them with a hammer, and dump them in this well in the forest.

The Watertower girl will never get old for me. I can not fathom how that actually went down.
False?

Iirc She was off her meds which was leading to the condition you see in the video. The tragedy was that the door to the roof was unlocked, which it shouldnt have been, and that nobody in the hotel realized her condition and called for help. I think it was the Parents who said she probably climbed into the Tank to hide and that she was under an extreme state of Paranoia. People have been adding a lot of stuff to this accident but iirc the last time I researched this it definitely was possible for her to get into that Tank herself. This is a very sad story about someone suffering from mental illness, but not much of a mystery, imo.

IIRC the parents were accused of severely underplaying how bad her mental
Health issues really were.

It doesn't get old. I would like to know more details on the police report and investigation, though. There were vital details never released.

Here's the thing mentally ill and emotionally disturbed persons are difficult to deal with. A mentally ill person's body language and demeanor can easily be misinterpreted so I will leave it at it. I will not continue down that rabbit hole

Was the hotel manifest/roster verified to see if anyone had a past violent felony? Sounds like there were vital details never released.

I don’t think so, I know it wasn’t the Cecil hotel at least I don’t think, and as someone with a lot of Asian friends and family, I wouldn’t be surprised if they just left her in the dust. They’re some cold mofos if you seem a bit unhinged.

Guy missing from my hometown.
99.9% sure I know who "disappeared" him. Not really a mystery like the article says...
Supposed to meet is girlfriend in the woods... yeah. Pretty sure he met his ex girlfriend in the woods, and her half brother was there as well. They were split up and she was fucking one of my friends when he "disappeared".
From what I know of him, he was into drugs and would hit her and shit, but she was the same and no victim, she's one of craziest pieces of shit anywhere on this planet.
Hope one day they answer for their crimes...
Everyone knows who did it, but there is no physical proof, just rumors.

Been watching a bunch of strange/odd cases of people disappearing/vanishing or being found dead.

Could be most of the time people get lost and panic sets in as they die from exposure or dehydration. Getting lost in the mountains or woods isn’t too difficult as you could just take a couple of feet off the trail and bam you have no idea where you are. Some interesting cases:

Deaths of Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon

Two Dutch students decided on a trip to Panama to learn Spanish and help volunteer with the local youth. They decided to take a hike on a trail but they never returned. Some say they died from getting lost and injured and some say foul play may have happened.

The Yuba County Five
Five men after seeing a basketball game never made it back home. 1 still remains missing to this day.

Terrance Moore Jr and Connie Johnson

Both disappeared around the same time. Terrance was an odd case as he sprinted down a a steep hill and disappeared into the woods said by witnesses. Nothing was ever found of him.

May they rest in peace or be found one day. Anybody have an experience getting lost or know anybody or local lore of mysteries disappearances in your area? The feeling of not knowing where you are must feel horrible.

The Missing 411 documentaries are good

I think in a lot of these situations the people simply get lost and make the mistake of trying to forge deeper in the wilderness and get even more isolated; in several instances I think a lot of people could have been rescued if they’d just took the chance of staying put and not go wondering off.
