The article isn't actually about the CT, it's just a state run media company picking something preposterous to tell their readers they should get their information from official propaganda instead of twitter that no longer lets the intel agencies curate the information.

Some of them definitely did, but the far more common ones among the sherdog lefties were that he was cut by teleprompter glass that somehow flew around his head, stopped in mid air and curved back in to cut just his ear with no other pieces touching any other part of his head, and that the shooters were Trump supporters who I guess tried to kill him out of love or something.

Not sure what they were trying to gain from any of them, since the teleprompters weren't hit and were still intact after the shooting, there are picture of the bullets in mid air right next to his head, multiple people on the other side of Trump were hit, one of was killed with video of him dead with a bullet in his head in the bleachers, and video from like a dozen people of the shooter running on the roof, crawling up the roof with rifle, and his dead body on the roof with the weapon after getting sniped.

You realize there's a lot of levels to this shit right.
- They purposely underprotected Trump and denied requests to beef up his security several times
- The shooter was on their radar but they let it happen
- There was a small operation with a few people involved grooming and radicalizing a shooter
- There was a huge plot with dozens of people involved

We don't know the costs involved in Trump's protection ahead of the first assassination attempt, and it won't be limited to the staff that were present on the day. Far, far from it. For all we know the costs were already astronomical when you factor in constant surveillance and data monitoring, yet nobody heard a peep from anywhere about this guy trying this stunt until on the day. We all know, for a fact, that lone wolves are the hardest to predict, pin down or prosecute prior to actually attempting something.

If that's the case, we're just looking at an example of 'inadequate protection' on that particular day. By inadequate, we are simply looking at the results of the actions taken. Inadequacy happens, constantly. To deny it is to have 'an unrealistic high expectation'. Since nobody running any level of operation is infallible, it doesn't mean or suggest anything was done on purpose. Who would even agree to do that knowing you'd lose your job for incompetence - which they actually did, even right at the very top.

I, personally, cannot agree that any of those bullet points are likely. They are all unlikely, though to varying degrees quite obviously, and for varying reasons.

I think the problem is that Trump has created too much incentive for himself and others to be vested in hijinks. When Trump says stuff like he would withdraw U.S. support from Ukraine, he is basically incentivizing Putin to fuck with the elections again, in a big way. I am kind of glad that Iran is grinding an axe for Trump trying to start a war with them with the assination. It would not be beyond belief that hijinks could ensue if Trump was seen no longer as a viable candidate and Vance took over.

i don't see this assassination matter as being funny at all. but we don't really know what happened nor the exact motives of the would-be assassins.
