Bitcoin explosion and ALT coins thread

I’m in deep on Ethereum I got in at avg cost 352$ per and I picked up a couple bitcoins as well q3 last year. I am holding with Diamond fucking hands and am doing my best not to fixate on these wild swings. I think BTC and Ethereum will emerge as the winners and skyrocket (really hoping ETH does in particular). Hopefully I’ll be posting from my private jet in 2 years.

Would you buy Ethereum or Bitcoin today btw?

No. Because they benefit of attack wouldn't be good for their future plans of crypto. Crypto itself is important even to the chinese.

The chinese were ahead of usa in block chain technology. Usa will have no choice to incorporate block chain as well.

Thanks.

Their plans for crypto are separate to their plans for bitcoin.

Bitcoin is better for them than the usd but they aren't known for their love of democratic rule of anything. They like complete control.

I agree but America needs to wake up and stop thinking the old way of finance is still going to work. It's not, the chinese and some other countries know this .

To me all the cryptos are like the 90's .com bubble. The internet was going to be solid so everyone jumped on and most crashed. Some though: Google for one, survived and took off. The underlying tech is worth it but there are too many cryptos and I see the same thing happening. Most will be worth nothing, but a few will emerge and be solid. The difficult part is figuring out which ones will survive. I'm pretty sure Bitcoin will be one of them though. It has too much inertia at this point.

Mark Cuban is reading my posts on Sherdog:

"On Monday, Cuban said on Twitter that the "cryptos trade" was "EXACTLY like the internet stock bubble" of the late 1990s, which burst with disastrous consequences for many companies and investors.

But he said Bitcoin, Ethereum, and "a few others" could survive and thrive as companies like Amazon and eBay did two decades ago."

No, that's what I said, Mark Cuban, weeks ago.

I would buy either, or both. Depending on your current means I would 100% invest into either one. I personally think they will both be up dramatically this time next year. I am unfazed by any dips in the meantime and am holding both ETH and my couple BTC for the next 2 years (unless there’s some insane jump). I think this is the wave of the future and if my ETH play plays out well I’m throwing a yacht party for my Sherbros!

As with ANY investment though. DO NOT invest more than you can afford to lose.

:) - Where do you buy your crypto? I'm assuming I have to open a new account. Another Sherdogger helped me out and mentioned Robin Hood so I could buy partial shares of Bitcoin since I don't want to put $35k in right away. I know it's volatile but I want to dip my toes into it and will definitely only invest what I can afford to lose. But also hope it shoots up. I have time to hold it for 10+ years and believe it will definitely be up by then even if I have to ride some dips. That's why I'd like to put bits in over the next few months to dollar cost average. I have Etrade and Fidelity accounts.

I use E•trade for most of my stock plays and Robinhood (for a few stocks) but mostly ETH and BTC.
Although Coinbase is also great for trading specifically crypto and they have every alt coin on there as well. I only trade ETH and BTC so Robinhood is just fine for me. It’s all personal preference though.

I rather see a SPAC or penny stock thread TBH.

XDC is a fairly unknown coin with what seems like a solid tech behind it, currently less than a penny per coin and a market cap below 100 million, so plenty of room to go up an order or magnitude of more.

I also own a bit of algorand, chainlink, and district0x.
