The underlying business can generate profits and distribute dividends independent of speculation

And? Stocks still trade at 20-40x pe ratios, that’s just how it works, and equities dont produce divis, btc, gold, dollar dont either, yet speculated against each other all the time. Aint nobody using gold to buy stuff.

Companies sell goods and services for profit, these profits can be given to owners/shareholders as dividends
