If you're up 14000% then, you have over $3 million in crypto?
I meant 1,400 percent lol. Just saw the typo.

i lost hundreds of bitcoins and most of the crypto ive ever had i lost from getting liquidated like a retard doing high risk leveraged trading because i thought i was too smart to lose, dont be like me and buy bitcoin and do your homework and research and control your own keys safely and securely to attain financial sovereignty by becoming a long term holder, trade alts to accumulate bitcoin dont get scammed, 2021 gonna be lit theres always opportunity boys
True. I know the number one rule in investing is not to get emotional. I really dont when it comes to my traditional stock holding.
I think Bitcoin is different to me because I believe in it's bigger purpose now. Before maybe it was all about the gains but now I don't care. I mean I saw it crashed and for some reason I didn't sell lol. It's just weird.
i think the patrick from spongebob AV really drives the message home bud, stay salty lol
Why would you not pull your initial investment out with some small profit and let the rest ride though?
That's what I'm doing over the next couple of weeks. It'll probably pull back soon. I want my investment plus some profit banked.
I'd pay off the house because the house is a real, tangible asset. Bitcoin is still based on speculation and that bubble could pop at any time, and it could be permanent. I'm not hating on crypto investments, I just think it's a good idea to dovetail those gains into tangible assets (real estate, stocks) where you can.As some of you know, I've been in crypto for a long time. Bitcoin has broken old highs and is almost at 28k.
Institutional money is pouring in from all directions and I believe it's going to continue to rise.
Now I'm at a crossroads to sell some of my crypto because doing so I could pay off my house.. I'm having a hard time selling any of my Bitcoin because all the years I held it.
I tried to tell my family to invest yrs ago but they didn't listen. Now I'm getting calls from everyone I told lol.
It would be cool to have my house paid off though. My house is valued at $340,000
i paid of a house in the early 00's with some ISO stock options...it was about $90K...some friends said no, some said yes...i pulled the trigger on it and lifted a weight off my shoulders...a woman i hate owns and lives in it thoughI only owe 107,000. House is worth 340,000

It looks like a bubble to me. I just don’t see any reason the prices should go up. The value only increases because people want it and people only want it because they anticipate it’s value increasing. Even if it is a good currency to use it might be better to wait until it’s about equal to a US dollar. Right now it seems too volatile to put money in to. Unless I’m missing something? To me all the cryptos are like the 90's .com bubble. The internet was going to be solid so everyone jumped on and most crashed. Some though: Google for one, survived and took off. The underlying tech is worth it but there are too many cryptos and I see the same thing happening. Most will be worth nothing, but a few will emerge and be solid. The difficult part is figuring out which ones will survive. I'm pretty sure Bitcoin will be one of them though. It has too much inertia at this point.
How much would you have to sell? Personally, I'd sell the minimum needed to pay off my house and keep the rest.
And congrats

Is there any crypto still worth throwing a couple of K at to just hold long term and ride the waves or has that ship sailed?
There was this fabulously handsome poster named WorldofWarcraft who made a thread on here years ago BEGGING people to buy bitcoin when they were $15 a piece and nobody took his advice.
Absolutely fantastic and legendary thread starter.
