Question;

I got set up to buy alt coins using metamask and airswap (tried etherdelta but couldn't get it working), added a tiny bit of ETH and when I looked at a couple of coins the "gas" needed to make a purchase was about US$20.

Is that right? Seems ridiculously high to me and put me off the idea.

I dumped my Doge at 0.70 when I started to that fast drop again, put it into XRP
And I'll dump the XRP once it starts declining too much.

XRP is getting pumped over the last 48hrs.
I'm hanging on to mine with expectations that they win their court case against the SEC.

They touted xrp as a private currency when the SEC says they should have made it as an equity.

A private company cannot issue a currency.Only a government or a bank. This makes sense.

If they lose and most reports say they will, xrp could be worthless.

From where did you get that Ripple declare themselves as private currency regarding xrp? SEC is the one that is calling xrp a security which they are not in the first place.
Watch this, more clarity on this issue. Although the poster is xrp biased, he looks through facts concerning the case

Thing is no one can say how the trial will go. One thing for sure is there is a lot of risk. You can buy a lot of xrp and it could skyrocket if they win or become worthless if they lose. So using only disposable income would be the best for all.

I'm probably an idiot but I just join Coinbase and buy like $20 of everything they have the go heavier on BTC, ETH, LTC, and BCH. lol. Maybe 1 of them will hit it big. Maybe I'll lose all my money. Maybe the world will end before I get to find out. Maybe I'll forget about it and when I die my kids will be like "sweet!! $1mil worth of crypto my old man left me!!"
