The UFC president Dana White has made it clear they will close the division:

Dana Disagrees. Time stamped.
Now they are negotiating. I absolutely believe there will be stiff ramifications if DJ refuses to fight TJ. The UFC is giving DJ time. They are being patient. Reasoning with DJ.
Well you are not correct. It's the same this time as it was with the Borg fight. They couldn't make him fight TJ and DJ fought Borg. No ramifications.
If DJ plays hardball they'll strip him and do exactly what I said. Let TJ fight for the strap. Just like when they created the division they allowed DJ to fight for the strap. I already said it. 9 defenses don't matter if you duck the 10th.
I don't see the UFC allowing DJ to the call the shots in a division they allowed just to cater to him. The division doesn't draw. If DJ refuses challenges that the UFC deem are worthy why should the UFC allow him to hold it hostage?
It makes no sense for the UFC.
You are delusional. Feel free to bump this thread when none of what you said happens (Other than DJ getting the money he wants and accepting the fight).
