Media BISPING: Francis Ngannou BOXES AGAIN on December 23! | Is it Anthony Joshua or Deontay Wilder?

Not very imo. Francis is a beast and what I’ve seen in interviews is even more encouraging - a really humble and intelligent guy.

Edit: yes it would still be insane in the sense that he’s transitioned over from mma!
Lmao. It would be crazy for a guy with zero boxing wins to become boxing champ. Come on now

Zheilei Zhang and Joseph Parker head the list for December 23 as possible opponents for Ngannou.

I think Eddie Hearn is full of shit and that Anthony Joshua won't be ready for December 23. I'm happy with either of those two, the New Zealander or the Chinese dude. It takes balls to step into the ring with Ngannou and I applaud both of them for rising up to the challenge.
Both fights are a waste of time. Nobody cares about Parker or that Chinese dude. The appeal is for Francis to fight marquee names and bring in PPV $$$.

The only fighters that fit the bill is Jushua and Wilder

Not really since it was just a sideshow exhibition. Fury didn’t even train for it and barely put forth any effort.
I wonder why all top boxers are lining up to fight him now. Must be because nobody wants to see him fight...

I think Joshua would end up being too technical at this point.

But again, Fury was supposed to be technical too.

I'd like to see the Wilder fight. Either boxing or MMA.

Francis is the A side in this... his is the fixed name.
So, maybe MMA fight in Saudi? Lets see.

Because he arguably won against the best heavyweight boxer in the world? On what planet does it makes to box some low tier boxer after that?
Because of one simple thing: if he goes 0-2 then he's done.
I think he should get a ylneup
Sure but then it's also very likely that the winner of that will sit on his ass for 1-1.5 years until he either gets to fight Jones/Stipe or as is likely, both of those guys retire, and he can finally get on with his career and fight the next contender.
that's the theory but I think the UFC will actually defend the interim for the first time. (I predict Almeida)

He's had one pro fight in which he didn't win so why does he get a shot at the number 4 and 3 guy? Shouldn't he have to go up the rankings and well...and half the people celebrating this complain when the same thing happens in MMA.
It's boxing. They don;t start fighting actual fighters until they are 10-20 fights in. Francis just arguably beat the HW champion on debut in a PPV that went viral. They still think that Fury under prepared for him, when in reality he just finally fought someone his size that could throw hard punches back at him.

Wilder would be a banger

Wilder leaves a lot of openings that Francis can capitalize on

That would be a barn burner

If Joshua or Wilder want to fight Ngannou December 23, they need to get on it. It doesn't look like it. Wilder wants the fight in MMA and Eddie Hearn says stuff but at the end of the day, Joshua hasn't been consulted. So weird, situation.

I can see Ngannou wearing Wilder out in the clinch. Joshua doesn't have an area like that where he's at a big disadvantage other than his chin.

yeah he does, he's slower, is prone to gassing, and doesn't have a great defense to protect his suspectible chin. his defense for most of his career has been clinching and deflecting punches with a stiff arm. Ngannou could wear Wilder out in the clinch, but that's assuming he can walk through that cannon to get in there.

I mean it's a fact Fury under prepared for him. He'd literally signed beforehand to fight Usyk 2 months later and so clearly thought this would just be a cake walk.

IMO it's more that Francis actually has a chin and so could walk through Fury's shots to land his own. Fury and his team I guess hadn't really noticed that aspect of his game and so weren't prepared when Ngannou wasn't going down from the shots Fury landed and therefore actually making it into a fight. Francis Rocky'd Fury.

Ngannou will have succcess against any of the boxers who are relying on greater technique to beat him as he's got an iron chin and nuclear hands. Some will do better at outpointing him, but he'll probably always be able to cause problems against those guys. Nobody goes through a fight completely unscathed except in a quick KO.

That's why the Wilder fight's the most interesting as Wilder's crumpled everybody he's ever fought and every chin breaks eventually. Walking through what Wilder's throwing his way is a whole nother ball game.

That fury fight sold about 60k ppv, franks definitely not a side considering wilder-fury did around 800k

If any high level boxer trains hard and tries against Francis, they destroy him.

People are so gullible.

So seems if the current HW boxing champion and one of the best ever to box at HW trained even a few weeks for a fight against Frank, that HW champ should be able dominate some bum off the streets of Cameroon, right?!

That chinese guy merks Francis. He should steer clear of him. I think frank handles parker but ngannou shouldnt get carried away thinking hes really the best boxer on earth....

As Francis is 37 I understand he wants to cash out but lets say he fights Joshua and Joshua easily dominates him, nobody will care about him anymore, they will say the Fury fight was a fluke etc. I say take it slow, build up the hype, maybe crush some can in PFL and then get another boxing match.

Good point. Imagine he KO's Joshua lol. He'd be the biggest star in combat sports period.

But yeah I imagine he'd get a nice pay cheque if he decides to fight MMA next.. Francis has dozens of options.. What's funny is he's coming off loss and still projected to make more than any of his UFC fights.
