Why would either of them think it's a good idea for Smith to fight Pereira after that performance against Spann? Looked gassed after 1 rd. Also Walker kicked the shit out of his leg, Pereira could easily do the same.

Smith is a great gate keeper & commontator, but I'd be surprised if he finally put it all together in a way that makes him a top contender again.
