birthdays

I will be doing NOTHING on my birthday.
I dont celebrate that.
I do know my cvo-workers hope I bring cake.. I wont.
Every year, my girl puts together something special for me, but after my 40th birthday party here in Sweden, when someone gave me a gift card for underwear, I thought, "That's it—no more birthday parties."

I stopped caring a long time ago. Probably 18 since I could get served in bars anyway at that age. My girl will bake me a cake, candles, and sing. It's sweet of her, and I appeciate it although she constantly gets my age wrong every year, and its funny to look forward to that.

Not 40 but hell yeah I like to celebrate my birthday. Mine was a couple of weeks ago. Day drank at Top Golf then went to a steak house with my family. It was awesome.

Kinda, I have the same birthday as my dad so we kinda make a deal of if.

We don't do gifts & parties or anything like that in my family. All we do these days is make fancier than usual meals; we'll do something like roast duck, tempura seafood, or if the weather's nice we'll invite some friends over and have a BBQ at the cottage.

do any of you, say over forty, still make it an event to celebrate your birthday? mine's coming up in a few days and i'll be 44, and i literally was going to treat it as another monday, but now i'm getting text messages from family about what we're doing for it. i don't want to do anything lol. if they can take away the heat, i'll take that!

any of you still have the birthday cake and singing celebration and the like?
I don't have birthdays. I have birthday months. I'm worth celebrating.

I take vacation the week of my birthday, my birthday is 10/3. It usually is the week leading up to Columbus Day, so I get a free buffer day before going back to work.

Every few years though, my birthday falls during a half-September/half-October week. This is one of those years.

So I take two weeks off :)

Fuck I spent a whole minute being completely mind fucked by this post, before remembering Americans read the dates differently.

We do cake and ice cream at least. It doesn’t have to be a big event though. Unless it’s a milestone birthday, just dinner with the family is nice.

I usually do something, I like to celebrate with a BBQ on a UFC Sunday with my bro in laws if I can manage it

I don't know. I feel different about it every year. Usually shoot a new porn with the wife on bday. prettay, prettay, prettay good
