It’s not a power I am comfortable with the government having, and there are a number of reasons for that.in principle? i can understand opposing it because people are wrongfully convicted and it will lead to innocent people dying. but you don't think there's any act possible that warrants death?
This is not a good standard. We have tons of cases with false, coerced, and dubious confessions.One has nothing to do with the other. The dude confessed. Was dead to rights. Which should be the burden of proof necessary for the death penalty.
